1 jolly phonics method

Jolly Phonics Method This year, in five year infants, we have continued working the Jolly Phonics method to improve the pronunciation and adquisition of English.

In order to practice oral skills the students are learning different sounds related with different letters. For instance, when we work the letter "s", there is a song that gives them the sound of "s". At the same time, they have to make a gesture. Every sound with its letter has a unique gesture in order to associate the knowledge of the letter with the oral representation.

First of all, the students start learning each sound. Second, they connect the sound with the letter and the word and later, they will be able to identify and read the word in the right way.

This is a fun activity for them because they sing a song and at the same time, they are learning how to say words in English according to the unit that we are working at that time.

In this unit, we have worked the winter clothes though the Jolly Phonics method.
