Message from the Bishop
Billy and Freda Farr sent me a book called “MORE THAN CONQUERORS”, which I have found so challenging. Listen to an extract from this book on C.T. Studd. “What a risk-taker: ignoring what everyone told him because he knew the Lord was calling; suffering from chronic asthma and in his fifties, yet walking 700 miles through the Zairian jungle for two years surveying the needs; lasting eighteen altogether and seeing numerous tribes reached with the gospel; going without any financial security, because no society would back him; trusting the Lord to provide for every need; praying and waiting on the Lord from 3:30am each morning: translating the New Testament into the local dialect whilst on his deathbed working eighteen hours a day; seeing an indigenous mission movement commence. So many setbacks, hardships, trials and rejections. Wow! I cannot relate to the man - he is far too hardcore for me - and yet I want to relate to him. I want to do absolutely everything for the Lord, because he is worth everything and yet of course I want to hold on to common sense. But, the Lord does not work on the basis of common sense!” Your friend and servant,

What’s happening in November?... Jungle Gym Build: Saturday, 13 November On Saturday 13 November, we (mostly men, but not exclusively!) are gathering to build a new jungle gym for our kids and their friends in our front garden. Our old jungle gym has been 'condemned' and is unsafe. Deon and Bruce are organising things for us, so please get in touch with Deon to confirm that you'd be available to help. News Christmas at CCP 2010 Unfortunately due to financial constraints at the Pavilion, 2010 will not see us hosting our carols and candles event there this year. Our focus for 2010 will be our Kid's Christmas musical, and Carols by candlelight on Christmas eve. Join us in prayer as we ask God to direct us for Christmas outreach in 2011- who knows what he has in store for our church :)

Counselling Ministry We have trained and qualified Biblical Counsellors who are willing to assist you through life’s difficult times. The Life Coaching ministry will also guide you in setting realistic goals and direct you in achieving them.
