BONFIRE NIGHT Guy Fawkes (1570-1606) is an English Catholic conspirator that tries to assassinate the King James I in the Houses of Parliament. The English Catholics group plans the “Gunpowder Plot�, and the authorities find Fawkes guarding the explosives beneath the Houses of Parliament on 5th November 1605 and they execute him on 31st January 1606.

The building of the Houses of Parliament is very important in the history of the United Kingdom because is the central seat of government from 1547.


Guy Fawkes wants to kill King James I because they have different religions and the King doesn’t want to change the unfairly laws agains the Roman Catholics.
