In consultation with Dr. Brooks Pearson and with Dr. Brooks Green, Chair of the Department of Geography, exceptions to #3 may be considered. Master of Science in Community and Economic Development The Department of Geography is home of the Masters of Science in Community and Economic Development (MSCED) degree program. The department is anxious to serve all current and potential students in this program. Please contact us for more information or with questions, concerns, etc. Program Overview The purpose of the Master of Science in Community and Economic Development (MSCED) is to provide both experienced practitioners and new students with a comprehensive understanding of the theory and applications of state-of-the-art community and economic development tools and methods. Graduates will be prepared to act as catalysts for growth and change through a community development process. Admission Requirements and Process Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning Satisfactory score on the GRE Minimum undergraduate GPA of at least 2.7 Minimum TOEFL score of at least 550 on the paper version or 213 on the computer version (international students only) Two letters of recommendation sent to the program Director.
