Extra (weekend/after hours) We weren’t expected to come in on weekends. Sometimes we stayed back after hours when our team is on take to see patients and we would present the case the next day.
Tips • • •
Don’t spend too much time in surgery. While it is interesting seeing procedures, a lot of time can be wasted if you are only standing back and watching. Clinics are good for learning. Your reg/consultant may ask you to take a history or perform an examination on patients, great practice. Plan out when you’re going to do Emedici, don’t leave it all to the last minute. The questions for the Emedici quiz is different to the practice ones, but it’s definitely helpful to practice.
