Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Dear people of tomorrow
AMSA-UMI was officially incorporated on September, 4th 2004. AMSA-UMI's activity based on three philosophy of AMSA-Indonesia and AMSA International, which is: Knowledge, Action, and Friendship. But, AMSA UMI has added Religious to the philosophy of AMSA UMI itself, given the Universitas Muslim Indonesia is a Muslim university. In AMSA, we can get many benefits. Where we can improve our knowledge, like making scientific paper or public poster, train our medical skill, etc. Beside of that, we can learn something by doing not only from theories.

The other benefits that we can get are, we can train ourselves in manage a time, our leadership, and also we can expands our relationship and our insights. Beside of that we also can be useful to society by helping the government to promote health and to prevent a disease. So, we can gain many experiences to be a better doctor. In 2014/2015 AMSA-UMI has a vision to build a better organization in 3 aspect, “spirit in working, leading in contributing, and excellence in performance”. Where these three aspects in addition to aiming to make AMSA-UMI to be better, it also gives the opportunity to all members to become a medical student who is not only skilled but also can provide a positive impact for the community. I wish this booklet would give you the information needed in regard to AMSAUMI and would encourage you to do some projects with us to give impact to medical students and society. The Asian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) International is a peak representative organisation for medical students from across Asia, the Asia-Pacific and beyond. Training doctors from 12 Member Nations and 4 Associate/Observer Nations c o m b i n e t o s h a re k n o w l e d g e , undertake activities and social services and create international and trans-continental friendships. AMSA was officially founded in Manila, Philippines in 1985 and from this day has been an active, dynamic and exciting student-led, not-forprofit, non-political organisation. Today, with members and friends spanning the globe AMSA has an active student-exchange program, regularly undertakes national and regional projects, provides
humanitarian assistance at times of need, produces quarterly student publications and liaises with the World Health Organisation, the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia and many other international a n d re g i o n a l m e d i c a l s t u d e n t organisations. Since it was first established in 1979 and the first conference was held in Mahidol University of Thailand the Asian Medical Students’ Conferences have been a key focus for the organisation. Now held biannually in January/February and July/August these events see over 700 students from across the world combine to learn from each other, teach their fellow peers and develop lasting friendships.
The AMSA Vision is Knowledge, Action and Friendship. Three areas we continuously strive to further in our members and peers through our organisational missions:

VISION + MISSION “To become a leading medical organization that upholds members' and community development through integrity” ▪ Asian Medical Students’ Association Indonesia (AMSA-Indonesia) is the peak representative body for medical students in Indonesia. Founded in Yogyakarta, August 10th 1996, AMSA-Indonesia has been actively participating in plethora of national and international events. Its contributions to AMSA International as the root of the organization are succinct, having hosted four Asian Medical Students’ Conference (AMSC) in 1990, 1996, 2003, 2010 and one East Asian Medical Students’ Conference (EAMSC) in 2006.

WHAT IS AMSA-UMI? AMSA (Asian Medical Students' Association) Universitas Muslim Indonesia is a non-political, nonsectarian, and non-profit external organisations in Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Muslim Indonesia. AMSA UMI is an official member of AMSA Indonesia, w h i c h i s a l s o a n o ffi c i a l m e m b e r o f A M S A International.AMSA UMI was officially incorporated on 4 September 2004. AMSA UMI's activity based on three philosophy of AMSA Indonesia and AMSA International, which is: Knowledge, Action, and Friendship. But, AMSA UMI has added Religious to the philosophy of AMSA UMI itself, given the Universitas Muslim Indonesia is a Muslim university. AMSA UMI's structure organisation more or less the same as other universities, chaired by a Representative, and managed by General Secretary and Treasurer as well as its subordinate divisions such as Internal Affair, External Affair, Finance Department, Academic Team, Community Outreach, and Publication and Promotion.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
STRUC TURE AB(n). Advisory Board responsible to supervise the management of AMSA-UMI for a year stewardship and provide advice to the Executive Board of AMSA-UMI. Repre(n). Representative is the highest position in the Executive Board's structure of AMSA-UMI and responsible to coordinate all elements of Executive Board.. Representative act as representative as to AMSA-Indonesia and also responsible to establish a relationship with the various parties associated with AMSA-UMI. GenSec(n). General secretary acts as the vice representative, and will replace the representative if he / she unable to attend an event. General secretary is also responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing organization's letter. Treasurer(n). Treasurer served to set finance and make expenditure budget plan of AMSA-UMI.
Acad(n). Division of Academic have a role to train academic's skill for all AMSA UMI's member and a right place for competitor's who want to join competition occasion
PnP(n). Division of Publication and Promotion served to publicise all the activities and the latest information and events of AMSA-UMI and promote AMSA-UMI through certain medias.
Finance(n). Division of Finance served a variety of Merchandise as identity of members, provide bazaar to strengthen relationship among member. Which all of that with purpose to increase financial of AMSA-UMI.
IA(n). Internal affair responsible to formulate the requirements for membership and their administration of AMSA-UMI. This division also responsible to help representative to manage administration of policy regulations, collect all database about alumni of AMSA-UMI, and maintain relation between members of AMSAUMI.
CO(n). Division of community outreach served to increase the public awareness in humanism a c t i v i t i e s t h ro u g h t a rg e t e d c o m m u n i t y interaction. This division is designed to educate members of AMSA-UMI to help and encourage to make a process of self-empowerment for the benefit of society.
EA(n). External Affair served to choose the participants who will be delegates at the national event, this division also responsible with everything related with AMSEP and build relationship with other organizations.
