The 6th Annual Wild Wild West Festival hosted by the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce is coming your way! The festival will take place May 16-18 with fun filled, family events centered on the Union Avenue Historic District. The festival will feature the events the whole family will enjoy including three continuous live entertainment tents filled with local bands and dance groups. Festival goers can also enjoy an International Chili Society sanctioned Chili Cookoff event Saturday and Sunday, street vendors, carnival rides, PAWS for Life exhibit and much more! Events are scheduled to take place at the Union Avenue Historic District and the Colorado State Fair Grounds. You can expect concerts, carnival rides, street vendors, team roping, the wildly popular duck race and much more! The PBR Built Ford Tough Bull Riding event will be at the Colorado State Fair Events Center.

The BAND Wild West Festival Chili Cookoff will take place on Union Avenue, at “D” Street. The proceeds from these two cookoffs will benefit B.A.N.D. – The Bessemer Association for Neighborhood Development, Inc. These will be B.A.N.D.’s 34th & 35th annual Chili Cookoffs. These cookoffs are two of nearly 200 cookoffs sanctioned by the International Chili Society. Local winners move on to the annual World’s Championship Chili Cook-Off held in October each year. The three divisions are Traditional – Red Chili, Chili Verde (green chili), and Salsa. 2013 Worlds will be held in Palm Springs, California.
