Bible Way Church is located on the north side of Abilene, and we will have been here for 18 years on June 6th, 2024. We are an interdenominational body of believers where all who attend are welcome. Our mission is to share the gospel message of salvation and to do what we can to help our sisters and brothers who are in need. We have a small membership and it has gotten smaller since the covid pandemic. Many churches have closed over the years and some did not survive the pandemic.
There have been many calls made to our church from people who were in desperate need of help over the years. During these years there have been times that we were able to help some people with their needs. However, in the last few years of our existence we have not been able to financially provide any assistance to those who come to us in need of help.
I’ve recently prayed about this matter because I want for us to be able to help those that are among us that fall on hard times. In Texas the minimum wage is $7.25 per hour. There are many here working without healthcare, and many employers don’t have workman’s comp insurance for their employees. Many of our citizens are working forty hours or more a week and some on two jobs struggling.
I have learned that by working together people can make a difference in other people’s lives. We have created a way for us to come together and do just that through our Hope Initiative. Together we can provide help to some family or individual that is desperately in need of help. I only ask that you would pray about partnering with us to help make this possible. Your prayers and financial support is needed to make help possible to at least one.
