Becky's Daily Devotions

There is so much that goes into planning a celebration! You need good food, tables, balloons, decorations, a cake and of course, good music! A lot of work, but the end result is incredible happiness and blessing! Imagine how it will feel, after all this work in our Christian walk (and it is work!), and we stayed the course, grew and learned, and we allowed the Lord to come in and totally dwell, to “graduate”? I hear the music, but instead of “Pomp and Circumstance”, it is the trumpet of Gabriel. I hear the voice, but instead of the school Principal, it is the voice of Almighty God. As I walk that aisle to Jesus, it is lined with a vast amount of Angels cheering me on as I go to meet my Savior, face to face. And I will hear one of two things from Him: “Depart from Me, for I never knew you”, or “Well done, my good and faithful servant. Enter into your rest”. I guess it depends on which school we attend for the outcome of the graduation. There is coming a day, and soon, when the clouds will depart and the armies of heaven will accompany Jesus to earth to judge each heart and life according to where you placed Him. It has nothing to do with how good you are or your good deeds: it is a matter of your heart and where you placed Jesus in it. Graduation should be a time of “Celebration and Good times”. I pray and encourage each of you to be sure you know where you have Jesus in your life. It is a journey of a lifetime! And when you walk off that stage, your past is behind you and you have nothing but eternal glory for a lifetime ahead of you!
