2019 PROSPECTUS

Nau mai, haere mai ki teenei Kura Tuarua O Pukekohe Welcome to our 2019 prospectus; we hope that we will soon have the opportunity to welcome you to our school in person. These pages form an introduction to all that is on offer at Pukekohe High School, as we approach our centenary in 2021. Our school values make clear our high standards and expectations and help to bring a sense of connection and belonging for our 1800 students. Developed in full consultation with our community, we intend that the Values matrix, that you will find set out in this prospectus and on our website, becomes a living document that staff, students and parents use in our daily interactions with each other. Our five Houses, each with their own Dean and Vertical Form teachers, help to ensure that students are known and cared for as individuals. As a school we are committed to the education of the whole person. There are numerous opportunities for students to become involved in sports and cultural activities; in service and in leadership. As a large school we are able to offer our students a wide choice of courses and subjects so that each person can find the right individual programme, and gain the right qualifications, to enable them to be successful. Pukekohe High School is working to be the school of choice for our whole community. We are aware of the significant responsibility that we carry to provide an excellent standard of education for the people of this area and to prepare all our young people for the different pathways they will choose to follow beyond high school. I look forward to welcoming you to Pukekohe High School soon. Richard Barnett Principal

Our community is made stronger by each of these contributions and we enjoy being able to acknowledge and celebrate them throughout the year.
