UC/Berkeley (Lambda) The chapter adopted a new philanthropy event, Cardiac Arrest, an obstacle course/scavenger hunt competition. The women hosted a gathering for local Girl Scouts at the chapter house, celebrated Heart Health Week and participated in community events. Kristen Dodenhoff was inducted into Order of Omega. University of the Pacific (Iota Gamma) Sisters implemented a new Casino Night as part of their fifth annual King of Hearts philanthropy event. They raised more than $1,000 for Alpha Phi Foundation. They hosted a successful Mom’s Day that featured baking treats for the Stockton Fire Department. They welcomed 23 new members during formal recruitment. USC (Beta Pi) Members hosted a Parent’s Weekend with a casino night in downtown Los Angeles. Their successful spring philanthropy event, the Phi Ball three-on-three basketball tournament, raised more than $2,000 for Alpha Phi Foundation. Northern Colorado (Delta Gamma) The chapter celebrated seniors with the annual Senior Week that included a dinner and ceremony. They hosted their first Forget-Me-Not Ball. Members were proud to be Derby Day winners and to receive a portion of the proceeds to donate to Alpha Phi Foundation. CONNECTICUT Connecticut (Iota Lambda) The chapter initiated seven new members following spring recruitment. They hosted their first Red Dress Gala that raised more than $4,500 for Alpha Phi Foundation. The event featured a silent auction and raffle. As part of the event, University of Vermont Medical Group Dr. Paul Taheri, the father of a collegian, delivered a presentation about heart disease. FLORIDA Florida State (Gamma Phi) The chapter was excited to announce that they purchased a lot on Copeland Street for their chapter house to be built. The house should be completed by fall 2013. They hosted an open house at their temporary residence, where they gave tours, served refreshments and met other members of the Greek community.

LAKE FOREST (GAMMA EPSILON) Sisters host their Love Shack philanthropy event.

GEORGIA Georgia Tech (Iota Mu) The King of Hearts philanthropy event raised more than $1,300. Several sisters participated in the Red Dress Fashion Show hosted by the university as part of Heart Health Awareness Month. Members were joined by mothers and alumnae for a recruitment workshop. The chapter participated in Greek Week, winning a Most Spirited award. Three members were on the Greek Week executive committee, with Laura Lanier heading the committee. ILLINOIS Illinois (Beta Alpha) Sisters hosted the weeklong King of Hearts spring philanthropy event. Highlights included a fundraiser at a local restaurant, a poker tournament, an Eat Your Heart Out dinner and the 22nd annual King of Hearts competition. This year had one of the most remarkable turnouts. The chapter also worked hard on its annual spring blood drive.
