Alpha Phi women and impact their lives in some way, and I am also very excited to visit different cities I’ve never been to. Favorite Alpha Phi memory: after my chapter’s first day of formal recruitment when we sat down and talked about how the first day went. Hearing all the positive remarks and seeing how much my chapter had grown in just one year was so heartwarming. After I travel for Alpha Phi, I plan to: move back to New York or a major city and pursue a career in fashion and marketing. No one knows that I secretly: eat sushi three or four times a week. Three words to best describe me are: truthful, kind, laid back.

Alpha Phi Involvement: recruitment chair, director of

formal recruitment, director of alumnae relations.

As a second-year ELC: I hope to grow as an individual as

much as I did my first year. I also hope to meet new people who have a love and passion for Alpha Phi, just as I do. Favorite first-year ELC memory: I was at Northern Arizona University as a full-time consultant. I loved having the opportunity to build relationships with the women and to see the difference I made along the way. After I travel for Alpha Phi, I plan to: move back to Omaha and find an event planning or marketing job. No one knows that I secretly: despite how messy I am when living out of a suitcase, I am a neat freak while living in my own space. Three words to best describe me are: spontaneous, outgoing, happy.

Dakotah Lindsay (Beta Pi-USC) Major: Policy, Planning, Development Hometown: Argyle, Texas Alpha Phi Involvement: vice president of marketing,

Panhellenic delegate, historian, assistant director of spring philanthropy. As a first-year ELC: I want to make a positive impact at every chapter I visit and to build friendships with the many wonderful Alpha Phis I meet. Favorite Alpha Phi memory: recruitment my senior year. I absolutely loved all of the late nights, the hard work and just being goofy with all of my best friends. Hair-flipping, lawn dancing and door-stacking are also three of my favorite things. All of that combined with it being our best recruitment to date made it a wonderful memory. After I travel for Alpha Phi, I plan to: work in fashion, hopefully in marketing, buying, or styling. No one knows that I secretly: am trying to learn Swahili and Luganda because I volunteer at an orphanage in Uganda every summer. Three words to best describe me are: driven, loyal, enthusiastic.

(Eta Psi-Eastern Washington)

Major: Journalism, Public Relations Hometown: Wenatchee, Wash. Alpha Phi Involvement: chapter president, vice president

of program development, scholarship chair, director of facilities. As a first-year ELC: my most important goal for the year would be to help sisters grow on campus, as a chapter and as individuals. I would also like to expand my knowledge and love of Alpha Phi by learning from the chapters. Favorite Alpha Phi memory: the trips / adventures I have had with my roommates and the amazing experiences I had attending Regional Conferences. After I travel for Alpha Phi, I plan to: attend graduate school to pursue a degree in public relations. No one knows that I secretly: sanitize everything. Although, this may not be a secret for those sisters who have lived with me. Three words to best describe me are: creative, considerate, determined.

school to attain a master’s degree in higher education with the hope of one day working for a college or university in Greek life. No one knows that I secretly: wish that I could be a famous country singer. Three words to best describe me are: determined, diligent, sincere.

Alpha Phi Involvement: president, director of philanthropy,

Emerging Leaders Institute graduate.

As a second-year ELC: I want to be able to assist chapters

in strengthening their membership and assist members in developing as strong individuals who will continue to give back to Alpha Phi. Favorite first-year ELC memory: anytime the consultant group was together: Utah football game, Halloween, Regional Conference in Los Angeles, the bunk room, Evanston, downtown Chicago and Las Vegas. Also the quote wall from Boulder’s recruitment will always hold a special place in my heart, as well as working with awesome volunteers and staff members across North America. After I travel for Alpha Phi, I plan to: make a new plan. That’s what consultant life teaches you — to just go with it. No one knows that I secretly: share a name with Linda Boland. My real name is Linda Allison (where Allie came from) Winkelman — not so secret, but it can be confusing at times. Three words to best describe me are: competitive, energetic, reliable.

Shannon Wright (Beta Rho-Washington State) Major: Public Relations Hometown: Vancouver, Wash. Alpha Phi Involvement: director of marketing

Alpha Phi, vice president of membership recruitment, chapter president. As a first-year ELC: I hope to make a positive impact on every chapter I visit while simultaneously learning from them and meeting as many people as possible. Favorite Alpha Phi memory: last year during polish week we were awarded a 10-minute break, and I anticipated everyone falling to the floor for a 10-minute coma. To my surprise, I saw our big speakers being moved outside to start a huge dance party on our front lawn. During times like those – when we have the option of being alone, but choose to be together – that makes me happy to be an Alpha Phi. After I travel for Alpha Phi, I plan to: stay close to home with my family and friends for a few weeks before hopefully pursuing my dream career as a news anchor. No one knows that I secretly: want to be Miss America. Three words to best describe me are: driven, sociable, down-to-earth.

The leadership development portion of the educational leadership consultant program is fully funded by Alpha Phi Foundation. This includes the facilitation of discussions and workshops for collegians on the topics of scholarship, philanthropy, educational programming and personal development.
