Family festivities are planned for Filoli’s annual Spring Fling, scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the historic Woodside estate. There will be live music with Andy Z and the Queen Bee Dancers, Randall Metz’s puppets will perform Grandpa Bunny’s Egg-citing Day, and Heather Rogers will surprise with her magic act. Sterling Johnson, the Bubblesmith, will return to create giant bubbles. The San Francisco Zoo will present animals from their ZooMobile and the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley will bring beautiful rescue birds for all to enjoy. Filoli’s own “Lady Bug� will be in the garden and a guest scientist will explain the life cycle of pollywogs in the pond. Filoli volunteers will demonstrate how they create the floral displays seen throughout the House. There will be crafts for children ages 3-12 and children 4-12 may decorate a container and pot a plant to take home. Docent-

TOWN OF PORTOLA VALLEY IS SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE ON THE NEW AD-HOC WATER CONSERVATION TASK FORCE The Portola Valley Town Council is accepting letters of interest from town residents willing to serve on a new AdHoc Task Force (5 to 9 members) to study the pressing issue of water conservation in Portola Valley.
