SYN3000

Description

Following procedures have to be applied in order to carry out the measurements: • All necessary safety precautions for a manual closing of the circuit breaker have to be taken. • The particular selection input has already been set to synchronizing mode 6, i.e. the CB closing time measuring. • One system side of the CB is de-energised whereas the other one has rated voltage, i.e. with a minimum of 30 V secondary voltage. • The remote selection input of the relevant synchronizing location is activated. Operating the [1] key will result in the display below containing a caution notice. GET C.B. DEAD TIME !!WARNING!!WARNING!! C.B. WILL BE ACTIVATED! [SKIP] The caution notice emphasises that when proceeding further a CB closing command will be initiated to the selected synchronizing location. The [SKIP] key will convert from the above display to a safety prompt. SECURITY CHECK Enter the number: 18534721 >> ........ [ESC] This safety request will prevent an accidental initiation of a CB closing command when browsing through the menu and shall further bring to attention which menu option has been selected. The safety prompt will request you to enter the digits “18534721“. The procedure can be aborted at any time with the [ESC] key. Once the number sequence has been entered correctly following display will appear. GET C.B. DEAD TIME Press [OK] to close Circuit breaker [ESC] [OK] to close When now operating the [OK] key the SYN3000 will produce a CB close command and awaits the occurrence of the voltage with equal phase angle on the previously de-energised system. For this it does not matter which of the two systems is alive or not. The [ESC] key will terminate the process and will revert to the “Parameter Setting“ sub menu.
