Oi! My name is Aline Alves and I am a brazilian illustrator living in Montreal, Canada. I have worked for many great book publishers in Brazil (Abril, Atica, Saraiva, Scipione), providing illustrations for children’s books and magazines. My most recent work was a collection of 7 book covers for Scipione in partnership with Brazilian Ministery of Education. The books will be distributed in brazilian public schools in 2012. I use many techniques, including watercolor and digital collage. I also like to mix fabric patterns with childhood memories :) Normally all elements in my illustrations are drawn separately so, the editors have flexibility to change the composition and reposition the text as needed. I hope you enjoy it.
