For Mabel Performance Note For Mabel was written in June of 2008 in the home of American pianist Mabel Kwan. Individual durations are relative, but space should be left to allow for the observation of resonances. Thus the overall length of the piece may vary. The keys of the lowest three octaves should be silently depressed throughout. This may be accomplished using bricks or books wrapped in a towel. A quiet dynamic should be maintained throughout, and the piano may be amplified to make the internal resonance more audible. A T Hunter Evanston, IL 06/08
