Buildings as the Casa del Pavo, the Círculo Industrial, the ancient building of the Fire Station, the Municipal Conservatory of Dance and Music and the manufacturing buildings of Papeleras Reunidas S.A. and Ferrándiz y Carbonell are worth mentioning.

CAS La primera ocupación de Alcoy data de hace 40.000 años en El Salt. En la Sarga existen unas pinturas rupestres declaradas Patrimonio de la Humanidad y la cultura ibérica tiene cita obligada en los poblados de la Serreta o El Puig.
Sin embargo, el aspecto actual de la urbe deriva directamente de aquella ciudad pionera de la Revolución Industrial en España cuyo patrimonio artístico ha sido incluído en la Ruta Europea del Modernismo. Edificios como la Casa del Pavo, el Círculo Industrial, el antiguo edificio del Parque de Bomberos y el Conservatorio de Música y Danza; así como las arquitecturas industriales del antiguo edificio de Papeleras Reunidas S.A. y del de Ferrándiz y Carbonell merecen su visita.

CAS El Betlem de Tirisiti, declarado Bien de Interés Cultural; las “Pastoretes”, el domingo anterior al 5 de enero y la Burreta o Bando Real; la víspera de la Cabalgata son una peculiaridad de la Navidad Alcoyana.
Pero el mayor atractivo lo constituye la Cabalgata de Reyes, la más antigua de España y declarada de Interés Turístico Nacional en la que un séquito de pajes se sirven de escaleras de madera para entregar los regalos a los niños. But Christmas takes an special meaning thanks to the Parade of the Three Wise Men, one of the oldest procession in Spain, which is also declared of National Tourist Interest.
