Information: • The Louvre is France's national museum dedicated to art beforeimpressionism, both fine arts and decorative arts and archeology.It is one of the most important in the world. • The opening of the Louvre in 1793 meant, in the history of museums, the transfer from the private collections of the ruling class publicly owned galleries to enjoy the whole of society.


Location: •

The Louvre is in the first arrondissement, or district, next to the Seine. Very close to the Cité ILED and Musée d'Orsay.

To get to the Louvre can use the Metro, RER, public buses, theBatobus and tourist buses in Paris.
