What was the most challenging aspect of your childhood? Growing up in a divorced family. What turn of events brought you to the Albert Lea area? I was born in Albert Lea, then moved away for 10 years to pursue my career. I met Michelle and moved back to Albert Lea to be close to family.

What is your favorite latest technological gadget? The iPad 2, because I can bring it everywhere, write notes, keep updated on my career field, send emails, etc.

What was the most challenging aspect of your childhood? The loss of all my grandparents within a small amount of time and then my senior year losing my dad, as well as the negative people telling me and my family at a young age I wouldn’t be a cheerleader, hairstylist or ever go to California and work on a celebrity. Well, it looks like I’ve proved them wrong so far. That’s what determination and positive thinking gets you! What turn of events brought you to the Albert Lea area? My birth on Sept. 14. and the Papas or anything by Nicki Minaj. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? Oh wow, 10 years?! Owning my own business dealing with hair and makeup. It’s a difficult decision, but I would choose telepathy. What would you eat if you could have only one kind of food for the rest of your life? A calorie-free, fat-free, deep-fried, chocolate something. What is your favorite latest technological gadget? My Droid. I love being able to Google totally useless information at any time, check email and Facebook, listen to the radio and above all, play the Dr. Droid app (modeled after Dr. Mario for Gameboy). It’s my favorite! What was the most challenging aspect of your childhood? I continue to feel so badly for children who are bullied, as I know how they feel due to the fact that I was “made fun of” as a kid for all sorts of things, but mainly my weight. It is so sad, and I believe parents really need to take responsibility for their

children, and if they see or hear them bullying to take it seriously and teach them that it won’t be tolerated. What turn of events brought you to the Albert Lea area? I was born here; however, I lived most of my childhhood in New Richland, and I graduated from New RichlandHartland-Ellendale-Geneva High School. I also lived in Duluth while I attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth. I love this community and feel fortunate that Mark and I are able to raise our children here. What song is your song? “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait because it always makes me smile and think about my husband. Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? Ten years older and right here in Albert Lea. I feel very fortunate and am very happy with my life in Albert Lea. I have a great job that I enjoy, and we are able to have a lot of family time, including time with grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles and cousins, which is very important to me.
