At our Rotary Club of Shrewsbury dinner meeting on 31st May 2017, a full house enjoyed Rotarian Margaret Thrower give a thoroughly enjoyable talk about her family's gardening experiences. With two head gardener grandfathers it was really no wonder her father also followed the same path. But his fame came really through the power of television. This was proved when a casual mention by him on air that there was to be an open garden day for charity and 35 coaches turned up! The whole talk was bubbling with humour as well as interest and we were all sorry when it had to come to an end. Well done Margaret and thank you very much. Summary report by Rotarian John Elliott
