Broadcast Bargaining Surveys—They Are Important An important step in preparation for bargaining is getting input from members. Given the rapidly shifting nature of the TV and radio business, negotiations are an opportunity to update contracts to keep them current and relevant within the industry. Surveys and unit meetings are a chance to reflect on contract/workplace issues that could be improved. This can be a time for brainstorming new ideas and an opportunity to get ahead of the curve for changes that are on the horizon. If your collective bargaining agreement expires soon, expect to receive a bargaining survey and notices of meetings. These are your contracts — make sure your voice is heard!
