AFROPOLITAN VIBES MUSIC FESTIVAL will take over Freedom Park on the THIRD Friday and Saturday of December to bring you two days and nights of quality live music and so much more.

A

FROPOLITAN VIBES as you know it, will take place as usual on the main stage, but with a slight twist: two consecutive evenings of live music featuring lots of guest artists, some of whom we will announce prior to the show and others that will make a surprise appearance on the night. All the guest artists will perform alongside the 13-piece BANTU collective. As usual, there will be plenty of palm wine on sale.

A host of GUEST DJs will provide music all around the park throughout the two-day festival, as well as at the after parties which will take place immediately after the evening shows. We have a great line up of exciting DJs who we have carefully selected because each one has a different music genre that they love playing, whether it be house music, afrobeat or soul or Fuji... The fun doesn't end there !

In the day time, you will be treated to back to back acoustic live sets featuring select artists performing in the intimate setting of Kongi's Harvest gallery. At URBAN SESSIONS, hosted by Ade Bantu and Buki Sawyerr Izeogu (Classic FM) you can listen to their in-depth chat with each artist prior to their performance and be a part of the question and answer sessions.

We'll have lots more going on in the park to keep you entertained for the entire day: You can browse the items on display at the AFROPOLITAN VIBES STORE - specially curated art exhibition which will feature a display of limited edition prints of all our Afropolitan Vibes Magazine covers and a selection of the best photographs from all forty-three editions of the show. We know that many of you collect our magazines, so at our store, you will finally get the opportunity to purchase one of our limited edition prints as well as items from our range of official merchandise, which will include t-shirts, mugs, beer glasses, festival bags and more.

Entry into Urban Sessions will be on a time slot booking system. The sessions will be broadcast live on social media and played on video screens within the park. Joining us at the Urban Sessions lounge will be our partners Jameson Whisky. Anyone over 18yrs of age is welcome to visit the special James on bar to try their free cocktails.
