What Is Educational Choice? Educational choice empowers parents to choose the setting that best fits their child’s needs, public or private. With educational choice, parents—who would otherwise not have a choice—pick the best schools for their child, whether it’s a traditional public school, an innovative public charter school, or a high-quality private school as a result of a scholarship. Educational choice puts parents and children first.
