AEGEE Election and AEGEE Eskisehir offer you a unique experience in this Summer University Do you want to open different opportunities in your career? The experience: From 26th of July to 9th of August 2017 you will have the opportunity to mix work, culture and pleasure as you never did. AEGEE Election Observation will provide you the necessary skills for being an election observer. AEGEE Eskisehir will ensure that you enjoy beautiful scenery, cultural visits and lots of fun!

Eskişehir Eskişehir means Old City in Turkish. was founded by the Phrygians about 1000 BC. It is located on the banks of the Porsuk River, 792 m above sea level, where it overlooks the fertile Phrygian Valley. Eskişehir is an old and culturally developed province of Turkey, it has a population of about 700,000 inhabitants. Eskişehir has 2 universities, Eskişehir Osmangazi Kaz Mountains (Ida Mountains) Kaz Daglari (Kaz Mountains) or Mount Ida is 1,774m high and it overlook the the Gulf of Edremit. This area is important for its natural environment, its history and culture. The Mount separates the Aegean and Marmara regions, where the land and sea climate offers a diversity of biological elements, rich in fauna and flora. It has 100s of natural springs and a large wildlife population; the area has been declared a National Park.

Ayvalık / Cunda Island Ayvalık is a seaside town on the north-western Aegean coast of Turkey. The city center is surrounded by the archipelago of Ayvalık Islands, which face the nearby Greek island of Lesbos. It is situated on a narrow coastal plain surrounded by low hills to the east, which are covered with centenary pine and olive trees. Ayvalık has many islets and the largest and most important one is Cunda Island (Alibey Island) which is connected to Lale Island and to the mainland, by a bridge and a causeway. Kuşadası Kusadasi, which means "bird island", is set in a superb gulf in the Aegean region of Turkey and it is known for its turquoise sparkling sea water; broad sandy beaches; bright, sun and large marina with a capacity of 600 boats. A glorious ancient city stands beside it, Ephesus with hundreds of thousands of visitors and organised tours each year.

Closest Airport There are 3 airports in Turkey that you can use to arrive Eskişehir: İstanbul Atatürk, İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Ankara Esenboğa. From there you can take both trains or buses for an affordable price of 20/30 Lira. Costs The Summer University is self funded, thus participants are required to pay a participation fee in order to cover food and accommodation.
