Spring Concerts at Lambuth! It will be a music filled month at the Lambuth Campus. Be sure to support The Entertainment Music Students and Sound Fuzion at their upcoming concerts, and also hear some up and coming talent as well. There will be a concert on Thursday, April 7, 2016 promoting up and coming local musical artists, singers, and songwriters. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m., and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The concert will be in the Hamilton Performing Arts Center, and it's only $5 to get in to see some amazing young, local musicians performing their own music! Sound Fuzion is a contemporary student music ensemble from the University of Memphis whose mission is to entertain, educate, inspire, and inform. The group covers pop, rock, and soul music from modern hits to those of decades past. For 28 years, passion, dedication, talent, and professionalism have made Sound Fuzion one of the most respected ensembles of its kind. There will be a free concert in downtown Jackson at the AMP on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is hosting D & Chi, an acoustic duo that focuses on lyrical substance and vocal harmonies to connect with a crowd that is best described as “positive,” on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. outside Wilder College Union, Eickhoff Plaza. Come over after SoundFuzion at the AMP. The Entertainment Music students will hold their spring semester ReMix concert on Thursday, April 21, 2016 in UofM-Lambuth's Hamilton Performing Arts Center. Time is 7:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Tech901, an or ganization dedicated to building the Memphis tech community and equipping students and adults alike with the foundational tech skills they need to thrive in the tech industry, is hosting two free tech courses this summer at the FedEx Institute at the University of Memphis that will be open to students and non-students.
