nna Reser’s preoccupations include the wonders of paracord, sundry small objects of Project Apollo and the contrast between technology and organic media. The UNM alum’s life’s work exists at the intersection of art and science. Reser earned a master’s in the history of science, technology and medicine and now pursues doctoral studies on the American space program, the built environment and modern art. She also edits a monthly e-newsletter, “Lady Science.” These interests collide in new sculptures and paintings at GRAFT (1415 Fourth St. SW). “System Visions: New Works by Anna Reser” opens from 6–9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8. Explore new visual and spatial frontiers with this intelligent observer of humankind’s relationship with the cosmos, and catch the show later in the month by emailing graftgallery@gmail.com for an appointment.
