THE SEARCHERS

SwINGING AT THE COTTON CLUb

AN INTIMATE EVENING wITH THE UNTHANkS

The Searchers are one of the few British pop groups who have maintained their position at the top for well over 45 years. Second only to the Beatles as Liverpool's fi nest 60's group, they are one of the most infl uential British bands to emerge during the Merseybeat era. With hit singles including “Sweets for My Sweet”, “Sugar and Spice”, “Needles and Pins” and “Don't Throw Your Love Away” plus many more, you're in for a treat! Band eiconig o’r 60au sydd wedi mwynhau gyrfa yn parhau dros 5 degawd bellach! Mae’r sioe yn cynnwys eu holl ganeuon poblogaidd ynghyd â straeon ac atgofi on am eu profi adau dros y blynyddoedd.

Featuring The Jiving Lindy Hoppers and Harry Strutters’ Hot Rhythm Orchestra. Take a step back into 1920s New York City and through the doors of Harlem's hottest nightclub! An action-packed show celebrating the music, dance, and songs of the Cotton Club – New York City’s famous nightclub of the twenties and thirties. In this show, the exciting music and dance routines are recreated by the fabulous Jiving Lindy Hoppers, the world’s premier jazz dance company, and the exciting Harry Strutters’ Hot Rhythm Orchestra – who together communicate the exuberance of the music and dance of the Cotton Club!

Don't miss this opportunity to see The Unthanks close-up and paired down. The Mercury nominated Tynesiders now return to where they began in the guise of their core quintet – for a more intimate and close-up musical and personal experience. Fronted by sisters Rachel and Becky Unthank, they prove that staunch traditionalism and sonic adventure need not be opposites. Special guests will be Jonny Kearney and Lucy Farrell, performing songs from their debut album ‘Kite’, released Autumn 2011.
