Evaluation: Positives and learning curves throughout brief This was a brief, again doing something we hadn’t really done before. It was a lot of fun to basically art direct a space, maybe not to the fullest extent where everything was under our control. But compared to the first event, we had a lot more control in this event and it as a lot of fun in this regard. The process we devised for this brief where we basically created infinite loops of glitch movements, with bright vivid colours was a lot of fun. The beauty about glitching is, you don’t really know what it will look like till you do it, it’s a very fun process to work in and nothing is “wrong’ when you’re aiming for a glitched aesthetic. Difficulties faced throughout the module The day of the event was a little stressful. We put a lot of work into the event, assuming everything would go smoothly on the day and we would have little issues but in reality we were running around 5-10 minutes before the doors opened for the event. Projections were the absolute focal point of the event and for a while it looked like we wouldn’t be able to set up that many projectors because of hardware issues, and health and safety certificate issues. In the end it all worked out though. What I would do differently next time Next time around we would allow more time for setting up the show and prepare for more things to go wrong, so we have more spare time for things to go wrong and not be too damaging. Overall this brief was a lot of fun, and a very rewarding experience to try something new, and do something we both felt proud of in the end. More so for the projection, idents and organisation - than the promotional materials such as the posters.
