02 Be a friend to the Senior Citizen - Symbol Design {classroom project, duration 1 week}

Brief - To design an iconic symbol to symbolize- Be a Friend to the Senior Citizen Key words -

Syntactic of the symbol -

Fragile | Support | Care | Commonness | Bond | Responsibility | Hug | Connect

Evolving the form -

the arms were made bolder to show support and spectacles were enhanced

The figure has been portrayed in solid colour to depict boldness and support

The old figure has been portrayed in thin lines to depict the fragile nature of a senior citizen

Curved edges are used to depict drooping shoulder

the eyes were shown shut to depict old-age

Hug- A symbol of support and care

Slightly blunt edges to avoid aggressiveness of the care taker the strokes were reduced and final form was selected

03 Graceful - Symbol Design {classroom project, duration 1 week}

Brief - To design an arbitrary symbol for the word graceful. Graceful: grace路ful (grsfl). adj. Showing grace of movement, form or proportion


Key words -

Inspiration The symbol is inspired from the font Bickham Script Pro and a ballet dance pose as its a perfect representation of flow, rhythm, refinement, slender and movement.

Colour variations I have used tints and shades of the colour purple as it represents grace and elegance but other colours can be used contextually.

04 The Wonka Hunt - Folder Design {classroom project, duration 1 week}

Brief - To design a folder for a product/service. Concept - It is the time of the release of the highly anticipated film-“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory�, starring Johnny Depp and, for the promotions, Wonka Chocolates are organising a treasure hunt for children inside their chocolate factory! Objective - To make the folder a playful and interactive one for the kids and also giving out all the details of the treasure hunt like the treasures, map of the area etc.

05 Type Design

{classroom project, duration 2 weeks}

Brief - To design a new type face for the letters H, A, M, I, N, G and S and create lower case for each of them.


06 Coca Cola - Poster Design {classroom project, duration 2 weeks, group of 2}

Brief - To design a poster depicting the time-line of Print Ads of Coca Cola.

07 Royal Connaught Boat Club - Way-finding System Design {classroom project, duration 4 weeks, group of 2}

Brief - To develop signage and way-finding system for The Royal Connaught Boat Club. The goal of the system is to create a graphical interface between the facility and the intended user so that the user can navigate easily.


About the place - Est:19th century. The Club is known internationally, has a royal lineage and has been providing excellent facilities in water & allied sports periodically. Membership of this Club indicates prestige and exclusivity.

The existing signage was not enough for a new comer to navigate inside the campus. Also, the existing signage didn’t match the surroundings and also didn’t reflect the prestige in which the club is held.

The Re-defined Brief - An environment was required to be created to suit the prestige of the club as well as the taste of its members. Rich user experience was given more priority than the navigation.

Target Group -

Language: English. As all the primary users are educated and belong to the high society.

Primary- Members of the club high society socialising party goers conference holders etc.

Secondary- Guests conference attenders guests of the members for parties /dinners

Pictograms: To add visual element and enhance the rich user experience, pictograms are used. They also serve the purpose of universal language for the secondary users.
