ver the past 31 years, 434 members in the history of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry have completed its rigorous Accreditation process. The process is designed to give dental professionals the chance to learn, grow and interact with colleagues while they demonstrate their commitment to cosmetic dentistry and responsible esthetics. Accreditation requires successful completion of a written examination, multiple clinical case submissions and an oral examination. Becoming an AACD Accredited dentist or laboratory technician helps dental professionals provide better care to their patients and clients, and distinguishes their practices and labs within their communities. While becoming an Accredited member is a significant accomplishment, some continue their education by becoming an Accredited Fellow. Fellowship is the highest level of achievement available to Academy members . We warmly welcome six new members to Accredited Fellow status — Craig P. Goldin, DDS, FAACD, Erik R. Dr. Craig Goldin graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1985. He and his wife, Dr. Marcy Goldin founded the Cosmetic Dentistry Institute in Troy, Michigan. In 2006 they received the Cosmetic Practice of the Year Award. The Cosmetic Dentistry Institute was honored by winning the 2012 Dental Office Design Competition, an award sponsored by the American Dental Association. Dr. Goldin has achieved Diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is also certified in IV sedation. Dr. Goldin focuses on cosmetic, implant and sedation dentistry. He enjoys fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving and traveling.

A California native, Dr. Ringer attended college at the University of California, San Diego and then graduated from dental school at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1978. He obtained his California dental license in 1979 and has maintained a private practice in Orange County, California since 1981. Jack became an Accredited Member of the AACD in 2007 and went on to serve as the President of the AACD from 2013 to 2014. He is also the founder and former President of the Orange County Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an AACD affiliate. Between treating patients, teaching at local dental institutions and speaking at various dental meetings, Dr. Ringer enjoys playing racquetball, traveling and scuba diving with his wife, Lauren, and his son, Dustin.

Since joining MicroDental, he has attended both LVI and the Misch Institute and received the LVI Fellowship. He’s also been involved with Spear Education, where he currently serves as a mentor and Visiting Faculty since 2009. Dr. Clarence Tam is originally from Toronto, Canada, where she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery and General Practice Residency at the University of Western Ontario and the University of Toronto, respectively. Dr. Tam is the Chairperson of the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She sits on the Restorative Advisory Panel for Henry Schein, a Key Opinion Leader for Ivoclar Vivadent, 3M ESPE, KurarayNoritake-Morita, Coltene, GC Australasia, SDI, Coltene, DentsplySirona and the only Voco Fellow in Australasia. The doctor is a Fellow of the International Academy for DentoFacial Esthetics. Clarence maintains a private practice limited to cosmetic and restorative dentistry in Newmarket, Auckland.

Dr. Paul VreNon is a native of Nevada. He attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1997 and went on to complete his general dentistry residency program at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. In September of 2000, Dr. VreNon opened Desert Breeze Dental in Las Vegas, Nevada and is committed to continue his education to stay current with improvements in all clinical aspects. Dr. VreNon has achieved Master status in the AGD, is a clinical instructor for the Kois Center, and is proud to add his Accreditation Credential with the AACD as his latest accomplishment.

Dr. Eric Wang is a native of Minnesota where he earned his B.A. in 1995 from the University of Minnesota - Duluth and his DDS in 1999 as graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. The doctor is a member of the ADA, serves on the board of the Minnesota Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, participates as Visiting Faculty at Spear Education, is an alumnus of Kois Center, and has an IPS Mastership through the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Wang and his wife Julie have four children, Leah, Sarah, Andrew, and Matthew, and two Cockapoos, Cocoa and Max.
