CBS’ three ‘FBI’ shows join forces for a night

Getting to work with regular cast members from the other “FBI” shows is “fun, definitely,” Peregrym attests: “We show up and make the best thing we can. Everyone comes with an idea of their character, and we just roll with it. We all have our processes and insert certain things into the script that might not necessarily be written. So, Dylan will do what he would do on his show on our show.”

Peregrym is grateful that the crossover comes near the end of the “FBI” season, rather than right after she returned from maternity leave last fall after the birth of her second child. “That would have been very hectic,” she confirms. “I still can’t believe I came back to work three months after having the baby, but she’s doing really well, and we’re kind of getting into the next phase of things.”

You have a lot of screen time with Shalom BruneFranklin, who plays Estella. How was it creating the onscreen relationship with her?

It was good. It was great. Me and Shalom got on really well. She’s also a very talented actor and really funny, so we would just kind of have a giggle in between scenes to be honest. We’d just do it and then when we had a bit of time off in between scenes, we’d be there like messing around and sort of trying to make each other laugh. So it was a really positive and fun set despite the darkness of the series.

American Experience

Chemical engineer and inventor Mária Telkes worked to harness the sun’s power for nearly 50 years. She designed and built the first successfully solar-heated modern residence in 1948 and identified a new chemical that could store solar energy like a battery. But she was undercut by her all-male MIT colleagues. Despite this, upon her death in 1995, she held more than 20 patents. The new episode “The Sun Queen,” examines how Telkes is now recognized as a visionary pioneer in the field of sustainable energy.

Hayley (Christie Leverette) loves creating murder mystery parties at the famous Blackthorne Manor. As guests settle in for a funfilled, spooky weekend, she acts out one of Blackthorne’s deadly moments. But after the show she discovers the owner of the manor dead. With a house full of suspects, she must work with her handsome co-worker Jackson (Bobby Slaski) and her boss’s business partner Diana (Veronica Martell) to solve the real-life murder mystery while keeping everyone else in the dark in this 2023 mystery.
