In an international city with such urban density, developing and maintaining a focus on air quality and responsible space usage was imperative to this design. Traditionally, car park towers are seen simply as utilitarian structures. Interiors are often dim, insensitive, and confusing. They become a design geared toward the vehicle and its scale; the human becomes a secondary concern.
Feeding off the idea of respiration, my design seeks to provide breath to Hong Kong’s financial centre while also addressing Victoria Harbour.
