Subject: LIFE12 ENV/PL/000013 LIFE COGENERATION PL - Monitoring visit Dear Mr. Primus, I would like to thank you and the project team for welcoming Dr Dariusz Kobus from the external monitoring team to your project on the 10th October 2014. I am pleased that the project has been progressing in accordance with the Project Document and that the foreseen milestones have been reached to a good standard. All thirteen milestones due to be reached by the time of the monitoring visit have been successfully delivered. Furthermore, I am pleased to learn that the implementation of cross-sector debates and information meetings (task D.3), participation in sector trade fairs (task D.4), and project related publications (task D.7) have been proceeding very well and ahead of schedule. I understand that six milestones were met with 2-3 months delay, which was caused by new requirements of the environmental and construction regulations in Poland, and unexpected additional scope of geotechnical investigations of the project site. I am also pleased to hear that you accelerated implementation of the project in the past few months. I understand that you have established contacts with the LIFE+ beneficiaries in Poland. I recommend that you increase your efforts to establish contacts with similar LIFE+ projects in other EU countries. Moreover, I recommend that you stimulate the role of the Consultation Committee and ensure its more frequent meetings. I wish you a successful continuation of your project and look forward receiving your Mid-term Report by the 30th June 2015.
