Words From Our Bishop
As your Bishop I’m excited about our Convocation. It’s a time for renewal, transformation and restoration in the Spirit of love and fellowship. I am excited about our Church Association. I thank God for the churches under my administration and the vision God has given me. “One Church In Many Locations.” God is everywhere. Where there are believers, the vision will flourish, grow and accomplish His will. The Scripture states: “One watered, one planted, God give the increase.” God has increased our horizon, we welcome Pastor & Co-Pastor Elect Hassan and Francemise Kingsberry to our association. To God be the glory. The purpose of our Convocation is also to gather as a Holy Convocation to recognize how God continue to bless, elevate, and lead His people, through friendship, discipleship and fellowship. When we come together as one Church with the same vision, everyone is encouraged and strengthened through the testimonies, songs, workshop training and preaching. We look forward to a joyous “Holy Convocation” this weekend as we lift our voices in song and fellowship in the Spirit of Holiness. Your In Christ, Bishop Claude R Barnes

I extend to you my love, devotion and appreciation on our 8th BiAnnual Convocation. Another year has come for the gathering of God’s people to come together as a body of baptized believers to celebrate as one body united in Christ. Bishop, you as a leader and visionary, have paved the way. “Where there is no vision, the people perish” - Prov. 29:18. By your example we continue to follow your leadership as you follow Christ. As a leader you have been blessed with numerous gifts to help develop and train the people the people you nurture. With your humorous spirit you can speak with compassion and concern to help mend the broken hearts of God’s people. We are blessed to have you as our leader. You have enriched many lives.

Greetings and blessings to my Brothers and Sister in Christ. Welcome to our 8th BiAnnual Convocation here in the beautiful city of Raleigh, North Carolina. We thank the hosting Pastors from the South Region, Church Of Faith #II, Pastor Welton Barnes and minister elect, First Lady Sonia Barnes, and Life in Christ Christian Center-Church of Faith, where Pastor Anthony Barnes presides with First Lady Crystal Barnes, for their participation in making the Convocation a success.. We thank God for the great work of Pastor Doris Phenix the founder of Church of Faith House of Prayer and Praise, for her work in the Christian community. Her anointing speaking influence is blessing and enhancing the ministry to a host of pastors. Scripture states “One plant another waters but God provides the increase.” Congratulations to Pastors Marcus and LaTerra Ruffin of Moreno Valley, California on their first Church Anniversary. Plans are being made to visit their church on their second Church Anniversary in June, 2010. We are welcoming into our association Pastor Elect and Co-Pastor Elect Hassan T. Kingsberry and Francemise St. Pierre Kingssberry, founders of “Rebirth and Renewal Church International in Youngsville, North Carolina. We pledge our support and pray for their success. The Church of Faith Inc. will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in June of 2010. Additional Information will be forth coming. We are looking forward to a great celebration of blessings. First Lady Doris Barnes and I are excited about how God is blessing and growing His body the Church. We are looking forward to the 2011 Convocation which will be in Williamsburg, Virginia. My church means so much to me because they pray for me. When I have many troubles they help me by praying for me. I feel happy when I’m at church because they make me feel loved. My church means so much to me because that’s where I go to learn about GOD, Jesus and how to worship. The church is a superhero to me because they helps people that are having trouble and for the people that are sick. Even though I may be small, I still have a lot of talent I put into the church with my singing, dancing and playing the violin. Even when I get older, I will still go to church. I love my church. Convocation Message from the desk of the Assistant to the Bishop… Bishop it is a privilege and an honor to serve under you in the vision that God has for the church. I respect you as my leader, and on a personal note as my uncle. As a child I have watched you. I remember my first inkling of the respect I had for you when: you cooked me my first fried egg at 715 N. 40th Street, (my parent’s apartment) at that moment I knew you were someone special and I wanted to be around you. When you took the office of the Bishop, I watched you transform into a “mighty man of valor”. I enjoy how you feed the people of God, both naturally and spiritually. When my father passed in 2005 you and First Lady (Aunt Doris) were there for my family and me. Bishop you are truly a servant of the Lord and a visionary. You proclaim the word of God with simplicity and power. You are definitely what we need in a time such as this. Thank you for being who you are and continue doing what you know to do.
