Mid‐Term: Influence Marketing 1. In YOUR own words, what is the difference between traditional word‐of‐mouth marketing and Influence Marketing? The traditional marketing is mostly promoted by word of mouth whereas influence marketing is a community of people on social networks, who can influence other people in their buying decision. Also, in traditional marketing we don’t know with whom we are talking, whereas in social influence marketing we deal with people experienced with the product they are talking about. Please be specific Here is an interesting article about “strategies and tactics to win consumer by social influence marketing”. It is true today, with social media evolution, the consumer is more influenced by online reviews before making a purchase. Once customer well informed about the product, he can after do marketing for the company in his way, which will maybe credible for other customers. And if he is active online, he can become an influencer. The author of the article highlights that social influence marketing occurs in three ways: ‐ Compliance. ‐ Identification ‐ Internalization I agree with these three points. Today, with evolution of social networks and blogs, people are connected to each other. They share, comment, follow each other, in other words they want to be in compliance. A person can influence consumers if she believes in what she says. To belong to a community is essential to her. Once company identifies who is their influencer, they need to keep a good relationship with them by rewarding them. I believe it is important for companies to be present on social networks and not push the sales with pure advertising. 3. What is the relationship between communities and your social brand ‐ give your insights for Slide 23. The social community today is one of the key elements to success of a brand. In my opinion, the companies can reach many people online by promoting even tiny product. That is why it is essential to identify influencers and aggregate information for consumer. 4. What is the relationship between Klout scores and Influence Marketing? Is a Klout score meaningful? I think Klout is one the most influential site. It allows identifying, who is our audience and influencers. Once it is identified, we can adapt product depending on their
