24 countries hub/The Balkans • 4th town in Croatia signed up – Ivanic Grad • Slovenian railways lead the way in efforts to promote low carbon travel as a part of our “Cut Carbon, Choose a Train” campaign

• First set of one-topic posters introduced in Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina • 10:10 Macedonia promoted vegan diet • Croatian Railways shared their low carbon actions • 10:10 Balkan and Adriatic participated in Goethe Institut’s Forum for Creative Minds with the main topic “Cities and Climate Change” • 10:10 Serbia participated in Super Natural Festival in Belgrade • Over 600 pupils came to the screening of The Age of Stupid in Serbia • 10:10 Croatia participated in Zagreb Energy Week


24 countries hub/ Central and Easter Europe • Junior Class at the British Council in Bulgaria got creative in describing climate change and the need to reduce carbon • 10:10 Slovakia made their set of posters to promote low carbon travel, tree planting and the 3 Rs • Students from Estonian University of Life Sciences promoted drinking tap water instead of bottled one • Visit to Romania and a great 10:10 presentation to the representatives of over 30 schools in Bucharest • Great press coverage from Romania visit in mainstream media and on blogs • 10:10 Ukraine organized lovely open air event in Odessa • 10:10 Romania confirmed to participate at the Best Fest Music Festival early July


24 countries hub/Russia • 10:10 Russia explained what they are all about • Russia the first to promote our “Cut Carbon, Plant a Tree” campaign • Students of Moscow State Forest University gave a full recount on why trees and forests are important for carbon reduction • 10:10 Russia promoted HOME (Russian version online) by Yann Arthus Bertrand • The preparations for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi are under way, and 10:10 Russia works behind scenes to sign them up for 10:10 and brainstorms on the best way to proceed • The City of Moscow committed to building 10,000 parking spaces for bicycles by 2016 • Russia with its nine time zones abandoned summer / winter time (not our doing, but important to mention)


24 countries hub/ The Mediterranean • 10:10 food project launched early January

• 10:10 Malta volunteers helped promote saving energy by unplugging all unused equipment and appliances • 10:10 Turkey and students from Marmaris suggested to the Turkish coffee-drinking community NOT to use paper cups • Department of Environmental Science at the University of Malta shared their view on carbon reductions in an island-country • 10:10 Mediterranean Cookbook “Low carbon and delicious” launched in May


24 countries hub/ 10:10 Teen Project • Project goes live in February, explaining the details through visual essay

• In Croatia we partnered with Croatian Academic and Research Network (the network of all educational institutions, schools, universities etc) • Students in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized a great outdoor brainstorming • In Romania we partnered with Cutezatorii teen magazine

• Great engagement from students in Russia, Poland, Estonia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania • Six month report released in May • Updated Flickr collection with photographs from outdoor classes, entries from students, recycled fashion collections and more
