1.

Identify the main character: The White Lady

Once upon a time, in the village of Dragonville lived a beautiful lady by the name of Tanya. She was pretty, helpful and warmth with compassion for the villagers, young and old. Tanya came from the descendant of the white witch ancestors, who was the guardian of the Peace Torch who brought peace to the world. Tanya stayed near to the Lake of Dragon.

5

When Tanya was a little girl, her grandmother told her the story of the black dragon that stayed deep below the lake and it would emerge if awakened. The villagers were very fearful of that day as disaster might occur. The white witch casted a spell on the black dragon because it was doing the bidding of the witch, burning and destroying the village so that the people would be at the mercy of the witch. Tanya being the first born of the 5th generation of white witch ancestors, also carried the birthmark of the ‘Dove’ on her palm, inherited the role as the Guardian of the black dragon. Tanya knew that this was a very important role and she worried that she might not be able to take up the task, which sometimes left her felt very sad. Every evening Tanya never failed to stand by the Lake of Dragon and wondered what was the black dragon doing beneath the lake? She tried to communicate with it by humming a melodious tune from her heart.

2) Identify the task or the problem to cope with – The Mountain

THE LAKE of Dragonville was serene, quiet and peaceful. It was surrounded by the harmonious mountain which was created and nurtured by God TATA, also known as the world God of Protection. Besides protecting the mountain and Dragonville, he also kept an eye on the spell casted on the black dragon from being broken. The mountain was also a natural protection for Dragonville and not to let in outsider to disturb these peaceland.

7

According to the legend in Dragonville, Tanya had to sing by the Lake of Dragon every evening. The villagers believed that the voice of Tanya could calm the black dragon and save them from disaster. When Tanya sang, a calm settled in and the villagers felt safe and peaceful at that moment and harmonious mountain could be seen as valley of serenity. The purity of Tanya voices served to bring peacefulness to the black Dragon.

3) Things that hinder the main character: The Witch

On top of the Forbidden Mountain, in a hidden cave lived a bad tempered, hideous, red cross-eyed witch named Marshila. Marshila was a very very wicked witch. She was the enemy to GOD Tata and Tanya because they were the one who discovered and stopped Marshila who planned to use the Black Dragon to burn and destroy the whole village, putting the people at her mercy. 9

Tanya's ancestors at that time was Dhalia, casted a "Sleeping Spell" onto the Black Dragon and sent it to the bottom of the lake. However Dhalia did not kill the Black Dragon at that time, because she knew that whatever action the dragon did was not of it's own will but was under a strong spell of Marshila. As Marshila was not so hideous at that time, Dhalia was able to render Marshila powerless at the time. One moon ago, Marshila stole a magical stone from the Elves World and began to regain her power bit by bit. Now, she thought it would be the right time to awake the black dragon and put it into her power again and do her bidding. Firstly, she knew that she needed to stop Tanya from singing to the black dragon. One day, she grabbed the opportunity and created a fog as thick as pea soup, making it almost impossible for anyone to see through. This was followed by a dreadful thunderstorm, strong wind blew and uprooted the trees. The sound of crashing waves was deafening. Poor Tanya could hardly find the way to the lakeside to do her ritual.

4) Things that help the main character: The Waterfall

Tanya knew she must remain calm and listened to the voice within to follow the crystal clear sound of the waterfall. She closed her eyes and let herself to be led by the sound of waterfall. The pure sound of the waterfall led Tanya in the direction of the lake so she could get there to sing.

5) The main action: whether (and how) the character succeeds or fails in their task: The Unicorn

It was a struggle for Tanya to walk in the darkness towards the sound of the waterfall. Tanya was very exhausted and worried, she then realized that she was actually walking up-hill and cried for help. She was about to give up, when she touched her birth mark on her palm and prayed to God Tata. 12

There was a splash of light and suddenly a unicorn appeared in the middle of Tanya's pathway. The Unicorn bent its two front legs and allowed Tanya to climb on its back. It then flew her out of danger and back to the lakeside. When Tanya reached the lake she saw the beginnings of waves forming at the middle of the lake and without wasting anytime she started singing. As Tanya went on singing, louder and louder, the song sounded sweeter and and sweeter. The Unicorn was such an inspiration and sign of confirmation that Tanya was no longer doubted on her ability and was so confident of her singing that she sang wholeheartedly. At that time the Unicorn took leave and went back to his resting place.

As she gazed afar in deep thoughts... with mother earth in her heart and being able to breathe again while the white dove spreading the good news of peace and love to mankind. However Tanya needed to be watchful, to warn the villagers if Marshila the wicked witch decided to strike again.
