edding pictures hold some of the happiest memories of a lifetime, so be sure you consider all the angles when preparing to be photographed on the big day.
In the weeks and months leading up to the wedding‌ Plan your procedures ahead- it's easy to get caught up in the craziness of tastings, fittings and appointments and forget to schedule facial treatments until the last minute. Don't be tempted to get cosmetic lasering or chemical peels within 10 days to a month of the event, depending on the exact type of laser or peel. Surprisingly, even something as simple as a facial should be given a solid week for skin to normalize, especially if any extractions will be performed. Call well ahead of time and discuss this with the technician. Practice good skin health- stay hydrated and eat healthfully leading up to the event. Don't try new skincare products, or anything that may irritate your skin. Anticipate your skin's history, and treat it accordingly depending on changes your skin may experience in the climate or weather that's expected at the venue.
For the big day‌ Start with a good base- be sure that your foundation is the right color and formulation for your skin. You may feel like you should use a heavy cream or stick foundation since you're being photographed, but heavier formulas will look caked on and are more likely leave a line of demarcation around the neck and hairline that's tougher to blend away. Just stick with the liquid or powder that works for you, and be sure it's properly matched to your color. No one wants to look washed out, but it can also age you a bit if your base is too dark for you. Color correcting concealers, like green or yellow for redness, and peach or yellow for under eye circles are a much better choice than simply layering on more makeup. Remember that redness will be easily picked up in photographs so take care to balance that out, and stay away
highlight the inner corners and brow bone with off-white, light pink or pale gold shadow or crayon. The older you are, the more important it is to stay fast to the no shimmer rule, as it tends to bring attention to fine lines. Black eyeliner can also look too harsh for mature women (same goes for liquid liner) and fair skin tones are more suited for eyeliner and mascara in the brown tones. Don't forget to make sure brows are properly framing the face - everyone looks better and younger with defined brows. Fill the arches with powder or if using a pencil, blend with a brush. Brow color and size are important considerations here; so don't forget to use a light hand and blend. Consider your venue and lighting- do take the time to stop and think about if the event/ photos will be taking place indoors or out, and at what time of day. Indoor photos will be taken with flash, so it's important to use powder to combat shine and to also be sure foundation is matched well. If outdoors, soften makeup a bit as it can easily look too heavy or harsh. Also adjust your makeup look for more formal locations, and later times in the evening. When considering these factors, you will want to use more color and definition over simply adding more makeup. Keeping these ideas in mind, remember its always most important to look like yourself and feel comfortable on your wedding day. Avoid the shiny look- glitter will reflect too much on camera, and shouldn't be worn to a nice event like a wedding anyway. Radiance-enhancing or shimmery foundations make faces look too slick and shiny for photos, so if you must, only keep the sheen on cheekbones and the cupid's bow for highlighting purposes. Always finish the t-zone with powder, which is especially important to balance any highlighting applied. If you know you're oilier, pop pressed powder in your bag so that you stay shine free. The eyes have it- keep in mind that darker eyeshadows and heavy liner make eyes look smaller. A matte or pearl shadow formula will be universally flattering and especially in warm, earthy tones. En las semanas y meses que llevan a la boda… Planea tus procedimientos por adelantado - es fácil dejarse envolver por la locura de las degustaciones, pruebas, citas y olvidar planificar tratamientos faciales hasta última hora. No te dejes tentar por un tratamiento cosmético de láser o un facial químico 10 días o un mes antes del acontecimiento, eso dependiendo del tipo exacto de láser o del facial químico. El delineador negro también puede parecer demasiado duro en mujeres maduras (lo mismo va para el delineador líquido) y si eres de tez blanca los delineadores en tonalidades marrones son tu mejor opción. No se te olvide en asegúrate de que las cejas encuadren la cara - a todas nos hace ver mejor y mas jovenes cuando se tienen la cejas bien definidas. Rellena los arcos con polvo o si utilizas un lápiz, la mezcla con una brocha. El color de la ceja y el tamaño son factores importantes aquí; entonces que no se te olvide ser delicada y difuminar las sombras de ojos.

Considera la iluminación el lugar del evento - tomate tu tiempo en pensar si tu boda y las fotos serán dentro o en un lugar al aire libre, y a qué hora de día será. Las fotos interiores serán tomadas con flash, así que deberás utilizar polvo para combatir el brillo y también asegúrate que la base combine bien. Si el evento es al aire libre usa menos maquillaje ya que fácilmente puede verse demasiado pesado o duro. También asegúrate adaptar tu maquillaje para localidades más formales, y horas posteriores en la tarde. Al tomar en cuenta estos factores, querrás utilizar más color y definición sobre agregar más maquillaje. Mantener estas ideas en la mente, recuerda que lo más importante es ser tu misma siempre y de sentirte cómoda en el día de la boda. our wedding flowers can be a great way to tie your color scheme all together, create gorgeous pictures, and an overall atmosphere. The best way to get what you want is to have a good relationship with your florist, as they are the experts who can help you turn the ideas in your head and scrapbook into reality.

Ideally, you should start looking for your florist as soon as you have booked your ceremony and reception venue. If you're not sure where to start, ask the staff at your venue if they can recommend someone- sometimes the venue will insist you use its own florist or preferred vendor. The good thing on choosing a florist who has worked at your venue is that they will be familiar with the space and will know the best places to put arrangements and decorations.
The key to a memorable wedding is to stamp your personality on all aspects of your special day! The floral arrangements are no exception; use flowers that have special meaning to you and your hubby to be. Perhaps you grow roses in your own garden, or your fiancĂŠ gave you tulips on your first date, or maybe your mom has lilies in her planters. Choose your flowers accordingly, once you know your color scheme and have chosen your bridesmaids' dresses. You can use your flowers to enhance the overall wedding-a pale pink sash worn by the bridesmaids, for example, could be reflected with pale pink roses in the bouquets. As well as finding a color scheme, you will also need to decide on the style of flowers.
Ask your friends if they can recommend any florists. Go to bridal shows to meet and see what the florists have to offer. If a fabulous arrangement catches your eye in your local restaurant or at your doctor's waiting room, don't be shy to ask who created it! Narrow down a short list of two or three florists and pop into their shop so you can see exactly the sort of arrangements they offer and how creative they can be. A good florist will suggest designs and ideas to suit your theme, scheme and budget. Ask to see testimonials and photographs of their work and get everything in writing before you accept and book them as your florist.
Getting Expert Advice Show your florist photo of bouquets and arrangement you like and love, plus pages from magazines and swatches of fabric to show your color scheme. Take along pictures of your venue and your dress so they understand you and your style. You must be honest with your florist, particularly when it comes to your budget, as they will be able to help you get 36 LATINO BRIDE & GROOM
Think carefully about the budget you have available for your flowers and be realistic about what you can afford. If your favorite flowers are orchids or cal-lilies, for example, you will have to come up with a lot more money than if you go for something more widely available. But, if have your heart set on a trailing orchid bouquet, consider using flowers in complementary color in the bridesmaids' bouquet and your centerpieces to cut your cost. Seasonal flowers are far superior in quality and better value for your money, so always ask your florist what they use and pick flowers that suit the time of year of your wedding. Your florist should be able to help you decide, so it is important that both visit your venue together in plenty of time. La mejor manera de conseguir lo que deseas es de tener una buena relación con tu florista, ya que ellos son los expertos y te podrán ayudar a transformar las ideas en tu cabeza y hacerlas realidad.

Como Escoger entre Tantos Lo ideal sería de empezar a buscar un florista tan pronto como hayas reservado el lugar en donde se llevara acabo la ceremonia y la recepción. Si no estás segura donde comenzar, preguntarle al personal del lugar de la recepción o ceremonia si ellos pueden recomendar a alguien- a veces el lugar insistirá que utilices su propio florista o algún vendedor preferido. Lo bueno de escoger a un florista que haya trabajado en este lugar es que ellos conocen el espacio y sabrán los mejores lugares para poner los arreglos y las decoraciones. Preguntarle a tus amistades para ver si ellas pueden recomendar algún florista. Ve a exposiciones nupciales para conocer y ver lo que los floristas tienen que ofrecer. ¡Si un fabuloso arreglo te llama la atención en un restaurante local o en la sala de espera del doctor, no seas tímida y pregunta quién lo creó! 5 Great Cake Trends To help couples find what style of cake is stylish and suits them best, here are five fabulous new trends in wedding cakes to choose from. By Ofelia Hernรกndez

he wedding cake is one of the most important items in the event. As it becomes the focus of attention at some point during the wedding affair, many couples want their cake to be just perfect. For Moises Ayunan, owner of Helena Wirth Cakes in Sherman Oaks, Calif., the cake should not only look delicious but it should also be an edible piece of art.
1. Black and White This color theme became popular last year and is set to continue for this year, inspired by the fashion runways, with designers current fondness for monochromatic colors and the influence of black Spanish lace. You can have your wedding cake designed in this classic color scheme, using white fondant icing and black or dark brown accents. This trend works especially well if it coordinates with the wedding dress or the bridesmaids' gowns.
2. Hexagonal or Square Shapes The traditional circular shaped wedding cake has now become too conventional for many couples. So, cube-layered or hexagonal layered cakes have recently become an emerging trend. These angular modern cakes can also double as lovely centerpieces during the reception, especially if they sport geometric accents in their designs. These types of shapes are more appropriate for casual and informal weddings.
3. Something Blue The color blue in wedding cakes has also become popular as of late with soon-to-be-married couples. Shades of blue, sometimes meshed with green, like aquamarine or turquoise, have made an appearance with couples who prefer a colorful cake. Incorporating this cake trend in a destination wedding will work fabulously, especially if you use sky blue, aquamarine and turquoise as the base

4. Pretty in Pink The color pink is projected to be used even more this year as a wedding accent. Try using pink as the base color of your cake icing and decorating it with white, silver or pink embellishments and flowers. But if that's too much pink for your liking, try white as the cake base icing, and pink for the accents, like fresh pink flowers or pink satin ribbon.

It's become fashionable to use cupcakes, which conveniently eliminates the need for a skilled and designated cake cutter. Because it's practical, cute and inexpensive, it's expected that this trend will continue throughout the year, but with a twist: the new cupcakes will often actually be square-shaped mini-cakes, while still reflecting the year's most popular colors and designs.

Esta temática en color comenzó a estar de moda el año pasado y continuara este año, inspirado en parte en las pasarelas, cuyos diseñadores han demostrado el gusto hacia colores monocromáticos e influencias de encaje negro Español. Puedes tener tu pastel diseñado en esta esquema de colores clásicos, usando un betún de fondant blanco y los detalles color negro o café obscuro. Esta moda trabaja perfectamente en coordinación con el vestido de novia y los vestidos de las damas.
Otras de las tendencias favoritas del año pasado fue utilizar una torre de pastelitos en vez de un pastel tradicional. Esta de moda usar estos pastelitos puesto que ayuda en eliminar la necesidad de apuntar un especializado diseñador para el molde del pastel. De esta forma, los invitados pueden disfrutar de algo personal e individual. Ya que es practico, bonito y barato, se estima que esta moda continuara este año, pero con un cambio: los nuevos pastelitos vendrán de forma cuadrada como pequeños pasteles, aun así reflejando los colores y diseños mas populares del año.
2. Formas Cuadradas o Hexagonales El pastel tradicional en forma circular se ha convertido muy convencional para algunas parejas. Por lo tanto, los pasteles en capas de formas cuadradas o hexagonales se han convertido en la moda del momento. Estos pasteles angulares y modernos pueden también actuar como hermosos centros de mesa durante la recepción, especialmente si llevan acentos geométricas en sus diseños. Estos tipos de formas son más apropiadas para bodas casuales y informales.
3. Algo Azul El color azul en los pasteles nupciales se ha convertido en algo muy popular últimamente entre las parejas que están por casarse. he days of the groom being responsible for only the rehearsal dinner and showing up on time to the altar are far-gone. Today's groom must now share in a larger capacity in almost every aspect of his wedding.

With today's belief that marriage is an equal partnership, most men feel wedding responsibilities should be shared equally. As men become more involved, we are seeing traditional wedding duties change. Beginning with the engagement announcement, more and more newspapers feature photographs of the couple instead of the traditional bride-to-be. In addition, the groom is being included in many bridal showers. Theme showers that include interests of both the bride and groom have become very popular. The groom is also becoming more involved in the financial aspects of the wedding. With couples marrying at an older age, many are paying for their own wedding or contribute toward the parents' wedding expenses. The ever-changing roles of men and women are indeed having an effect on the traditional wedding. We are seeing a "Best Woman" in place of the traditional "Best Man," female ushers and groom/male only bridal showers. uying a wedding ring can be intimidating for couples. Many questions come up, like, “How many months' salary should we spend (two months' salary)?” and “Where do we go to get the best deal?” Don't be intimidated! Follow these tips and you'll be an expert in no time. We'll teach you how to buy your ideal wedding ring and make the most of your dollars.
Learning the Four C’s
Asking for the GIA Certification
First of all, learn the important Cs - cut, color, clarity, and carat - of wedding ring diamonds; know them backwards and forwards before you start spending some serious money. Once you've familiarized yourself with them, you need to decide which 'C' is most important to you. For many couples, it's the cut. A diamond that isn't very large or clear, but cut right, will sparkle like the most perfect gemstone. A poor cut on a large, clear stone, on the other hand, will make the diamond look dull and possibly fake, even if it's quite expensive.
There are a number of laser and heat treatments that can be used on wedding ring diamonds to make them appear clearer with fewer imperfections, but this can significantly weaken a diamond. Only a written GIA certification can prove that a diamond has not been treated in any way and is 100% natural.
Inspecting the Ring Under Lighting When purchasing wedding ring diamonds, make sure your jeweler allows you to inspect the diamond in both natural and ultraviolet lighting. This will allow you to see imperfections more clearly and will give you a more complete evaluation of your diamond.
Comparing Wedding Diamonds When shopping for wedding ring diamonds, ask your jeweler to let you compare diamonds of an equal weight that are graded both higher and lower than the diamond you are looking at so you can compare the sparkle, clarity, and cut of the different diamonds. Doing so lets you see for yourself what truly makes the diamond in question unique.
Employing the Four P’s Not only are the four Cs important, so are the four Ps patience, practicality, perseverance, and persistence. Especially with an item that symbolizes you and your future spouse's union, you need to be practical and patient when making the purchase. It takes time, so study the market and do your homework. You must also have perseverance when buying your wedding ring. See what's being offered and at what price at both local jewelers and jewelry marts. Lastly, be persistent! If you see and agree on a ring, go back to the jeweler several times. It's simple: the more the jeweler sees you, the more likely they will work with you and help you find the diamond you want at the price you want.

Aprendiendo las Cuatro “C” Ante todo, aprende las importantes “C” - corte, color, la claridad, y el quilate (carat) - del diamante del anillo de compromiso; conózcelos de atrás a adelante antes que empieces cualquier gasto de dinero excesivo. Una vez que te hayas familiarizado con ellos, necesitas saber cual es la “C” más importante para ti. Para muchas parejas, es el corte. Riviera Maya Another beautiful spot in Mexico is Riviera Maya, which is part of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula that stretches along the coast heading south from Cancun to Belize. With 75 miles of pristine beaches, Mayan ruins, quaint towns, and low-rise resorts, it is a hot new destination for U.S. travelers. This is the modern-day heartland of the Maya and the area is renowned for its magnificent ruins and eco-attractions. The region's gathering spot is the town of Playa del Carmen. Although Avenida Quinta is lined with bars, restaurants, and shops, you are not likely to confuse it with that other famous fifth avenue. With names like Akumal, Boca Paila and Chemuyil, dozens of gorgeous beaches grace the Riviera Maya coastline. Q: When
should the formal announce- Q: Who should be invited to the ment and the invitations be sent out? Engagement Party?
A: It is best to start spreading the news at around six months prior to the ceremony (eight months for a faraway destination). Wedding invitations should be sent out six weeks before the wedding day. When you are ready to order your invitations, at the same time, order your announcements if you plan to mail them.
What information should not be included in the invitation? Q:
A: A wedding invitation is just that, an invitation, do not include deceased parents, your padrinos, and most importantly do not include the stores where you are registered or the request of a donation to your favorite charity. You do not want to tell your guests how, if they desire, to spend their money. Do not use nicknames or initials, you do not need to include the year, “a.m.” and “p.m.” are never used, and do not get tempted to put “Adults Only.”
A: According to The Bridal Bar San Diego, “Don't invite anyone who is not invited to the wedding, but don't feel pressure to include everyone who is invited, either. The engagement party is a more intimate affair than the wedding, and it is nice to keep it small, especially if families are meeting for the first time. Don't feel guilty about not inviting work chums and certainly nix exes from the list!” Q: What is the magic number of guests you should invite? A: Couples should start planning the wedding with the guest list and not the amount of money they have to spend or the number of people who can be served at the reception. The list should have the names of the people whose love and support you two want as you pledge to spend the rest of your lives together. Then, figure out what you can afford to serve them and where.
Q: Does
the invitation need to include Q: When and where should the a response card? rehearsal dinner take place?
A: Response cards have become acceptable, but they are not correct. If you do decide to use response cards, they should include a blank line for the guests' names and an “Accept” and “Regret” option for them to circle or a blank card with “RSVP” on the left hand corner. Do not include “Number of guests,” since this might mean they can invite as many people they want and skip asking your guests to mark their choice of entrée. Finally, stamped, selfaddressed envelopes should accompany response cards.
A: Start planning the rehearsal dinner at three to six months in advance of the date, by then couples usually have a good idea how many guests will be attending and they can plan a menu that doesn't conflict with their wedding day. The rehearsal dinner is usually held after the ceremony rehearsal, and this is the day before the wedding. You can decide to have a formal rehearsal dinner at a fancy restaurant, or an informal dinner that gives everybody a chance to get together. ¿Cuándo deben enviarse el anuncio oficial y las invitaciónes?
P:
R: Es mejor comenzar a dar la noticia alrededor de seis meses antes de la ceremonia (ocho meses para un destino lejano). Invitaciónes a la boda deben enviarse seis semanas antes del día de la boda. Cuando estén listos para ordenar sus invitaciónes, al mismo tiempo, ordenen sus anuncios si planean enviarlos por correo. P: ¿Qué
información no debe incluirse en la invitación? R: Una invitación nupcial es sólo una invitación, no incluyen a los padres fallecidos, sus padrinos, y, por lo que más quieran, no incluyen las tiendas donde estén registrados o la solicitud de una donación a su caridad favorita. No quieren decirles a sus invitados cómo, si lo desean, gastar su dinero.
