Dear Mr and Mrs Jenkins Along with Barbara Cobbold, I have the great honour of representing you on Tunbridge Wells Borough Council. I am also a Trustee of the Number One Community Trust which runs the local Community Centre, providing a café, educational and leisure facilities and events for the local community. To help raise much needed funds for the Number One Community Centre I am raffling my pride and joy; a first edition 1990 Honda Pan European Motorcycle. It has an 1100cc engine with only 35,000 miles on the clock. It was recently MOT’d and has been regularly serviced by John Harris Motorcycles in Crowborough. It has a retail value of around £2,500. You can see me on the bike in the picture below along with our MP, Greg Clark, and Barbara Cobbold. Tickets for the raffle are £1 each with all profits being donated to the Number One Community Trust. The cost of this letter, printing the tickets and the return postage are all being covered by the local Conservatives. Please find enclosed two books of five tickets to the value of £10. I do hope you will support the raffle by buying one or more of the enclosed tickets and returning the counterfoils to me in the freepost envelope provided. Cheques should be made payable to TWCA Appeal. If you place a stamp on the envelope it will save us the cost of return postage. The draw will be made on Bank Holiday Monday, 26 August and the winner will be notified as soon as possible afterwards. If the winner does not want the motorcycle, I will arrange for it to be sold on Ebay with the winner receiving the cash raised instead (less a 10% contribution to the Trust).
