Tips
If you are able to sit in on a Diabetes Education session for a newly diagnosed diabetic, take up the opportunity. It gives you a lot of insight into just how much information a family must take in when their child is newly diagnosed.

There are A5 green books that contain patient information in the department. Hopefully one of the Fellows/Reg loan these to you, as they are an incredible resource. If not, just ask. Paediatric Handbook – available at the ED Admin Office for $30 WCH Intranet Protocols
