Taking your brand further

A refreshing approach to graphic design Member of the Chartered Society of Designers The Chartered Society of Designers (CSD) is the professional body for designers and the authority on professional design practice. It is the world’s largest chartered body of professional designers with members in 33 countries and is unique in representing designers in all disciplines. The Society is NOT a trade body or association and CSD membership is only awarded to individual designers who prove their professional competences as defined in the CSD Genetic Matrix™. If a designer has Member of the Chartered Society of Designers (MCSD™) after their name you should expect a professional service. In 2014 our principal designer, Vicki Lovegrove, embarked on the rigorous assessment by the CSD and is now a MCSD™. Vicki has always put professionalism up as high as creativity in the business, so it means the world to have been awarded a MCSD™. Like all professional services such as accountancy or law, it is good to see that you are dealing with a company who are regarded one of the best in the industry. When you use Seventy Three Design Limited for your graphic design needs you can rest assured that you will receive a high level of professionalism and creativity.

The rest of this document demonstrates that our customers feel the same as the CSD and love working with us. Take a look and we hope to start working with you soon.

Merging Companies: Re-brand in Three Months Merger re-brand Two of the world’s leading specialists in GRC, CSI Netherlands BV and su53 Solutions Ltd, were merging to create the largest independent GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) consulting firm for SAP clients in the world. The companies had been working together for a number of years, and recognised that their combined expertise, capability and innovation would enable them to offer their clients the full range of GRC design, implementation and support services, and create a stronger business. Both companies were eager to re-brand the merged business and create new marketing materials in time for the launch of the new merged company on 5 January 2012. Seventy Three Design was selected in a competitive pitch to deliver a new company name, re-brand, create new marketing materials and deliver a new website within three months.

Requirement: create a powerful new identity

“We selected Seventy Three Design on an ambitious and aggressively timetabled creation and launch of our merged company: many said it couldn’t be done, but Seventy Three Design drove this hard and we achieved a brilliant and well received launch.” Martyn Proctor, Joint MD, Integrc

“We won the contract on 6 October, presented proposals to the board on 4 November, produced material for 5 December and went live 5th January.”

The goal was to merge the two companies, build a powerful identity and integrate the new brand across media - sending out the clear message that the new company had gained strength and power from the merger and is a global leader in its field.

Vicki Lovegrove, Director,

The project needed to assess the values and strengths of the two companies, focus on the business and market strategy, develop new value propositions and create powerful new messaging, including internal and external communications.

“Our aim was to build a strong identity that would resonate with their market and that would be instantly recognisable.”

Solution: a new name – a new identity – a new website Seventy Three Design set out to understand the big picture before embarking on the design and production process. Research was commissioned and strategy workshops were held with senior management from the two companies. On 4 November we presented our proposal to the management board, including our proposal for a brand new company name that would be appropriate to their market, the company and their values:

Integrc (in-teg-ri-see) the new word for GRC in business

Seventy Three Design

Vicki Lovegrove, Director, Seventy Three Design

By 5 January, we created a complete package of material that harmonised design, messaging, and content: a new market-focused website, a restructured services portfolio, a reference library, customer information packs, a new corporate brochure, internal and external presentations, corporate guidelines, corporate templates, a calendar, business cards and more. The new website, www.integrc.com is designed to be easy to use with a user-friendly CMS (content management system) that allows new content to be added with ease. Within a short time the site is well positioned in search engines, and has provided a good foundation for future growth. •

Outcome: positive feedback on strategic re-brand The new company name and design concepts were very favourably received and unanimously approved by the management board, and received very positive feedback from their employees, customers and SAP once launched. Feedback from Integrc’s customers says it all: “The website and logo are fantastic… Saatchi and Saatchi couldn’t have done better”, and “Great name for the company. It’s so hard choosing a great name but you’ve nailed it.”

“Upfront we realised it would be a very challenging target to realise, but you made it! We have a terrific new name, a splendid looking website with good content, logo. We have had very positive feedback from our own employees, customers as well as SAP…thank you for giving us a wonderful start to our journey.” Werner van Haelst, Joint MD, Integrc

“Seventy Three Design brought pace, fantastic design vision, pragmatism, and achieved the full scope - plus a few extra bright ideas - bang on time. I can’t overstate how pleased I have been with this - I’d recommend Seventy Three to anyone wanting excellent design creativity - and even more so if you’re looking at a strategic re-brand.” Martyn Proctor, Joint MD, Integrc

Dear Sir/Madam SEVENTY THREE DESIGN I started working with Vicki from Seventy Three Design some 7 years ago (2007), having been recommended to her by a contact. At the time I ran a company called su53 Solutions and asked Vicki to design an exhibition stand and some marketing materials, and started off very impressed. Over the years at su53 Vicki did a superb job in helping us to re-focus our brand image, and she created marketing literature that stood head and shoulders above our competitors and to my mind set a new standard that many other remarked on. Three years ago we merged su53 with a company in the Netherlands to become the global leaders in our field: this was a very demanding time but Vicki and her team helped create clarity and focus for us in our merged positioning, created a new company name and persona for the merged company, and developed a whole suite of marketing materials and a new website – and met a timetable I thought nearly impossible. The new name and brand image had been a real source of anxiety, as we had a global market and eight Directors that I and my new co-MD needed to convince: Vicki did a brilliant job that I will remember forever, and helped the new firm, Integrc, take-off superbly and continue to move from strength to strength. I would not hesitate to recommend Vicki to companies who require design with a strategic value perspective.

A new chapter: Re-brand as part of expansion plans Growth ambitions and a re-brand From their base in the East Midlands, Alltruck plc specialise in the contract hire and rental of commercial vehicles to businesses nationwide. Building on a successful period of increased profits, Alltruck had ambitious growth plans throughout 2011 and beyond; including expansion to two new depots. With a new marketing team joining Alltruck as part of these growth ambitions, they decided the time was right for a re-brand and new website to mark this new chapter in the company’s history. Alltruck’s Marketing Manager chose to work with Seventy Three Design for this project due to their credentials and expertise in re-branding and web design.

Requirement: New brand – New website As a company very proud of its corporate culture, Alltruck wanted a brand that showed them to be progressive, dynamic and forward thinking. They also wanted the new brand to be an evolution of the previous logo rather than a complete reinvention. The Alltruck website also required a full redesign.

“We are delighted with the work that Seventy Three Design has done for Alltruck. It has really shaped the visual landscape of the company in what is a very exciting time for us. The significance and value of Seventy Three’s work is shown by their nomination for our Business Partner of the Year.” Paul Robinson, Managing Director, Alltruck plc

“Seventy Three Design interpreted our brief perfectly and really understood what we were looking for. That was fantastic because with the overall design “in the bag” from the beginning it meant we could really focus our time and efforts on the details.” Mark Vigil, Marketing Manager, Alltruck plc

Solution: Forward moving brand for a forward moving company The starting point of the project was the re-brand. Following a briefing session with Alltruck, Seventy Three created several options, all of which took elements of the previous logo and turned these into something new. These options were presented, with unanimous agreement from the Alltruck Executive Team on the chosen design. A new strapline was created to support the re-brand – “Committed to Progress” – which represented two of Alltruck’s core values and illustrated the new multi-depot structure of the company. A comprehensive set of Brand Guidelines were also made, to ensure consistent and effective use of the new brand. With the new brand approved, Seventy Three set to work on designing a website for Alltruck that was modern, professional and user-friendly. Seventy Three based the web design around a number of original icons which illustrate the different products and services Alltruck offer.

“Our aim was to enhance Alltruck’s brand values, a forward thinking, customer focussed company. We are delighted with the outcome and response we have had.” Vicki Lovegrove, Director, Seventy Three

The website has a Content Management System which allows Alltruck to easily update it on a regular basis; including a company blog, photo albums and video library. The website was also built with a Search Engine Optimisation plug-in which has contributed to some impressive Google results. The new brand and website were officially unveiled on August 1st 2011 to coincide with the opening of Alltruck’s two new depots.

Outcome: A high impact and highly regarded re-brand The new brand has been incredibly well received and now takes pride of place on everything at Alltruck plc, from business cards – right up to 26 tonne trucks! In recognition of how important and impressive their work on the re-brand has been, Seventy Three Design was nominated for ‘Business Partner of the Year’ at Alltruck’s Annual Awards in 2012.

Logo design

“Seventy Three have done a fantastic job in picking up the message that we wanted to get across – that we are a progressive and forward thinking company. The new logo represents our history and where we have come from, but also clearly shows us to be moving forward.” Debbie Halliday, Finance Director, Alltruck plc

Time for a change: Cost-effective, high impact design A new design agency for a new brand design TRaC Global provides leading test facilities and methodologies for their customers to test and certify aerospace and defence industry products, to meet the highest standards of compliance. With a new Marketing Manager joining, TRaC decided that the time was right to refresh their branding to give it a more modern look. Unconvinced by their current design agency and with a feeling that they were being overcharged, TRaC decided to explore the market and that is when they approached Seventy Three Design. TRaC were looking for a design agency to truly listen to them and understand what they wanted. The ability of Seventy Three to take the vision of TRaC Global and turn it into the finished article was central in their decision to work with them.

“The way we buy graphics has transformed since working with Seventy Three Design. As a result we are saving approximately 50% compared to our previous design partners. This is down to their practical approach to our needs and ensuring that we get value, not just looking upon TRaC as a means to create billing. Seventy Three are a trusted partner and an integrated part of our marketing team, not just a supplier of a service.” David Cook, Marketing Manager

Requirements: A consistent visual image In the past TRaC had adopted a more ad-hoc approach to their design requirements. However for this project, alongside the new branding, they also wanted to develop a set of brand guidelines to create a consistent visual image which could be applied across the entire business. The TRaC marketing department needed a design that would get other senior managers within the company on board with the new visuals and secure their “buy-in” that the new brand design would have a positive impact on the way that TRaC’s customers looked on them as a business.

Solution: Getting the most from their marketing Working with Seventy Three Design, TRaC has been able to move their brand in the direction that they wanted. The key to how Seventy Three and TRaC work together is communication. Seventy Three Design listen to the demands of TRaC, showing a genuine interest in the company and getting the most from their marketing. Seventy Three have been open, honest and transparent with TRaC at every step of the project. The result is a new design approach which has not only

Global Approval for Medical Devices

met the demands of the marketing team, but has been enthusiastically received throughout the company as a whole.

Outcome: Delivering more from the marketing budget The reaction within TRaC has been fantastic. The fresh new identity is seen as a big improvement on the previous design, the company Directors are thrilled with the outcome and the brand guidelines have been fully adopted across the business. What’s more, TRaC are now confident that they are getting value for money, meaning their marketing material not only delivers a bigger impact, but their marketing budget goes a lot further too.

“In a nutshell Vicki is ‘brilliant’. At my previous company she delivered a brand new website that exceeded our expectations and the whole process was very smooth. Having moved companies we have brought Vicki in as our Graphic Designer and she is currently working on giving the company branding and marketing material a fresh new look as well as other mini projects requiring her valuable expertise. She is extremely easy to work with and delivers on the dot.” Tracy Brown, Marketing Coordinator

Welcome from Lord Patel

Since then, thanks to the commitment of NHS staff, over one million incident reports have been collected and analysed.

The NHS has made an important investment in patient safety by introducing the first national reporting and learning system (NRLS), launched by the NPSA in February 00 .

Resources for reviewing or developing a bedrail policy

The Patient Safety Bulletin highlights the emerging issues arising from this analysis. These issues may not immediately be subject to further detailed analysis or solu-

tion development, but nevertheless are essential to feedback to the NHS.

how incident reports can be used to share learning and improve safety.

The content of the Bulletin is driven by, and dependent on, the consistent reporting of incidents and the quality of those reports.

I hope you find this issue informative and useful. Lord Patel Chairman, NPSA

We are all stakeholders in patient safety and the Bulletin illustrates

Increasing number of insulin products contribute to serious incidents It has been revealed that potentially life-threatening errors are being made when administering insulin to patients in primary care settings. These errors can easily be prevented and the NPSA is currently working with the pharmaceutical industry to address the problems. A series of guides are being produced to give advice to both practitioners and the pharmaceutical industry on how to improve labelling and packaging to prevent these errors occurring.

concern products with similar names or packaging and, as a result, the wrong product being dispensed. The increasing number of insulin products, especially the new analogue insulins or a variety of disposable and pre-filled pen devices, contributes to the possibility of such errors.

Incident reports made to the NRLS have revealed that this is one of a series of recurring problems associated with medication in primary care. Although not limited to one sector, the most vigilant reporting appears to come from primary care nursing services and community pharmacists.

There have also been reports of errors due to picking the wrong product from the shelf and dispensing the label rather than the prescription. It is clear that individual practitioners are addressing the problems with these products and are looking at ways to minimise errors in the future.

Among the issues currently giving significant cause for concern are those relating to patients requiring daily insulin injections and those requiring palliative treatment.

Examples of good practice include involving the patient as an expert in their own medication. This is a simple procedure that involves nothing more than offering the diabetic patient the chance to

Insulin Many dispensing errors with insulin

inspect his or her own medicine before leaving the pharmacy. Handover issues are a concern for all medicines, but can be all the more acute for potentially life-saving medicines such as insulin. Reported problems include incorrect discharge information, patients being missed from visit lists, and assumptions being made that patient (or carer) will know how to self-administer their insulin.

driver, causing problems to arise when it is time for the patient to administer his medicine. In these cases, an emergency situation is created.

Palliative medicines Some GP surgeries and pharmacies have reported incidents of out-ofdate diamorphine being prescribed. This may be down to the drug being prescribed infrequently, and therefore extra vigilance is essential. Problems with syringe drivers also continue to be reported. For example, the pharmacy or GP surgery staff wrongly setting the dosage on a patient’s syringe

Matthew Batchelor Publishing Consultant Nuffield Trust We have been working with Vicki at Seventy Three Design for the last 4 years. She designs reports for us, using our corporate guidelines. This involves being accurate and true to our guidelines and being able to interpret data into charts and diagrams. We are very pleased with how things have gone with Vicki and intend to use her in the future. What I would say is that Vicki is very prompt at returning work and is very flexible, which is great help in meeting our deadlines.

Seventy Three Design

To whom it may concern,

We engaged Vicki Lovegrove of Seventy Three Design to design our corporate logo and to design the branding, logo and button graphics for our new product, Boxfile. We gave Vicki a brief and asked her to come up with ideas. She captured our brief exceptionally well, providing a themed idea that we were able to adopt without modification. She quoted us a fixed price for the work, which included providing masters for headed paper, business cards and with compliments slips and the whole package was delivered within her estimated timescales. We subsequently made some changes to some of the button designs which Vicki did not charge any extra for, and have since used her to conduct further work for us. We have been extremely happy with the communication, professionalism, standard of work and timescales from Seventy Three Design and would happily recommend them to anyone looking to brand or rebrand a product or company.

I just thought I would pass on some feedback regarding the book covers you did for me. I have received compliments from various sources: readers, one very large blog style organisation “Goodreads”, which belongs to Amazon, commented that the cover to Freeing Alex was “beautiful” and also the editor I spoke to commented that Freeing Alex was a stunning cover - just thought you would like to know. I’m still very smitten and even have them on my dining room wall!

Seventythree took the brief and produced a corporate image concept, logo designs, letter heads ect and worked with us to ensure the package reflected the local area and the Business direction. The work was completed on time and on budget. This is the third project Seventythree have completed for me. The previous two being for my other businesses. Each time the result has been excellent, Your Sincerely
