Fail-Safe Connectivity Prodec Networks is able to provide its customers with a fixed public IP address that links to the 3G data SIM. With a private Access Point Name (APN) Prodec Networks issue fixed RFC1918 (Private) addresses to specific data SIM cards. The IP addresses are issued by our Radius servers, which are based on username, password and MSSID
credentials. All IP addresses are routed separately in our core network; we translate them to a fixed public IP for access to and from the internet. The combination of the APN, Radius servers and route translation, ensures that each individual 3G SIM gets the fixed IP address that it was issued with, and the promise that this will never be changed. Assured Resiliency Cellular technology and indeed 3G data SIMs have the advantage of being wireless, meaning that unlike many solutions the connection is not reliant on a duct or an exchange.
