EDITORIAL The idea to start this project was born due to my long work with young and talented people who have not yet been completely discovered; artists, models, photographers, stylists‌ For a long time I wondered what would be the best way to promote these emerging talents? And so after countless cups of coffee in the bar next door, brainstorming and discussing ideas with artists and friends, the only answer was - 2beMAG; a magazine for promoting raw talents, up-and-comers, and fresh new work. The aim of the magazine is to discover brands and talented people who want to exhibit their work. Obviously there are many talents out there that already consider themselves professional, but at the same time dream about publishing their work in a magazine that lets them follow their personal ideas and own creative view. If you are a RAW talent and consider that you should be discovered, we invite you wherever you are to participate in our magazine 2beMAG. Let everybody know who you are. Xavi has been a freelance photographer since 2002. He began as an assistant to one of his teachers acquiring photographic and practical knowledge. Later on he finished his studies and became a Technician in audio-visual image. At the moment he works with several advertisement and design agencies; photographing for clients like Faladesa, Idearte, Roc Blanc Hotels, Cocinart, Babes, Adime. Xavi describes himself as serious about his work, creative and very professional. Born in Argentina and living in Barcelona, Spain. She works as a fashion photographer & music concerts. She defines herself as a lover of beauty, inside and outside of the established norms, with a special attention to the attitude and the simplicity of the image. Her work has been published in magazines and webzines in various different countries in the world. Sebastian Troncoso was born in the city of Juarez, in Mexico. He studied photography with an emphasis on advertisements. After finishing the course he moved to D.F. where he started to collaborate with the newspaper Milenio of DF. In 2006 Sebastian moved to Barcelona, where he discovered fashion photography. In the beginning he was working on his own, capturing pictures of random girls on the streets and also doing affordable books for them. Now days Sebastian is a respected fashion photographer that has the support of agencies like Elite, View, Icon and Traffic.
Anouk Nitsche was born and raised in Zürich, Switzerland. She studied photography, lighting, art history and chemistry in the city of Basel. After graduating she worked in a photography studio for two years, but after those two years she realized that she needed more sunlight ” I love to work with natural light, and that is why I packed my bags and moved to Barcelona. I started studying creative documentary but soon realized that fashion photography was my passion” At the moment Anouk works as a freelancer and has had her work published in various magazines such as QVEST, C-Head, Magnificent Magazine etc.

SKINPUT TOUCH INTERFACE Skinput is a new futuristic interface currently being developed by Microsoft and Carnegie Mellon University. The system is the combination of two technologies, the ability to detect ultralow-frequency sound, and a microchip-sized projector. This amazing interface can recognise which parts of the body has been tapped using the sounds that is created by the sin, bone and skeleton. The Skinput technology uses a band which is strapped on to the arm. The armband contains piezoelectric cantilevers, or sensors that measure pressure, acceleration and force.

TOSHIBA CAMILEO BW10 The Toshiba Camileo BW10 is waterproof down to two metres and will capture 1080p full HD video at 30fps while it’s down there. It’ll come clad in a rubber exterior that Tosh promises will also protect it against shocks, dust and sand – all major foes you’ll face if you’re headed to a sunny spot on holiday. There’s support for SD cards up to 64GB, HDMI so you can hook the Toshiba Camileo BW10 up to your HDTV, a 10 second self-timer and one button Youtube uploading. The rugged little camcorder will be available from the end of June in yellow, turquoise and silver.
GOOGLE TV Google TV is a software platform for set-top boxes and HDTVs based on the Android operating system and co-developed by Google, Intel, Sony and Logitech. The project was officially announced by Google and its partners on May 20, 2010. As of today, most TV vendors have their own technologies that allow limited Internet usage such as playing video from YouTube or viewing photos from Picasa. Google TV will offer a standardized platform for all such applications and - as an open-source platform - enable developers to create widgets for the system.
ICADE To use the iCade, gently slide the iPad into the docking cradle. The docking cradle uses a standard 30 pin connector to link the iPad to the professional-grade arcade controls. Once the iPad is in place, launch the iCade App (available free in the App Store April 3rd) and it’s game on! We fear it will be the first prank product never to be realized: Apple’s ban on apps that can run interpretive code (emulators) mean that the MAME application at least could never make it into the App Store. A shame.

World Fashion News ALEXANDER’S MCQUEEN LAST COLLECTION It was business as usual in the Marais this morning, where a showroom’s been set up to sell Alexander McQueen’s spring collection. On the left sits the fifteen or so pieces completed before his death, paired with looming gold platforms and a tray of stained glass-like jewels. Eleven racks of “the more commercial stuff” run around the length of the room and in the last corner, about five shelves of bags, shoes, jewelry, scarves, belts and even umbrellas from both pre-fall and fall are displayed. Buyers are busy picking this shoe over that or wondering which dress will be more popular with their clientele, and McQueen’s design team has done an excellent job turning his final ideas into bags, shoes and even cotton t-shirts.

HERMES REPLACES GAULTIER WITH LEMAIRE Lemaire was the lead designer at Christian Lacroix French luxury brand Hermes has named Christophe Lemaire to be the new artistic director of its women’s ready-to-wear collection, replacing his fellow Frenchman Jean Paul Gaultier, in something of a surprise nomination. Lemaire, 45, has for the past eight years been the creative director of Lacoste, winning kudos for his subtle revamping of that French active sportswear brand.

ARMANI OPENS DEBUT HOTEL IN DUBAI “I wanted something that will be remembered. Not for the present, but for after. That was the starting point of this adventure” Armani, whose events normally attract scores of bold-faced named celebrities, did not invite any to the opening of Armani Dubai. “I wanted the hotel to be the star,” the designed explained of his 160room hotel, where the average bed for the night costs $1,200. Like the colossal, $1.5 billion triangular, tubular tower complex, the hotel is frequently curvaceous from the bow-shaped somber hued walls and doors to the schematic golden mosque arch in the towering entrance. Armani is not the first prominent design label to open a luxury hotel: Versace was first a decade ago in Australia; Salvatore Ferragamo has three in Florence, and Bulgari a chic hotel in Milan. But, typifying the 75-year-old Armani’s relentless drive to be the industry leader, his hotel will be the first of a nearly a dozen hotels he will open in the next half dozen years.
