XV International Transport Week in Odessa, Exhibition «Inter-TRANSPORT» JUNE 1ST - 3RD 2016, ODESSA

The anniversary exhibition "Inter-TRANSPORT" – an impulse to the transport development At the beginning of June 2016 in Odessa the International Transport Week, XV Exhibition “InterTRANSPORT” successfully completed its work. The Event is included into the plans of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organisation (BSEC). European Union, Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine supports and takes an active part in the Event. The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Odessa Region State Administration are coordinating the Forum. Traditionally the programme and exposition are being formed under the support and with the active participation of professional associations, such as UKRVNESHTRANS, Association of the Black and Asov Sea Ports (BASPA), Ukrainian Ports Association UKRPORT and other professional unions. During his speech at the opening of the international forum "Trade, transportation, customs: dialogue, cooperation and coordination", which began its work on June 1st in Odessa, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omeljan has noted that Ukraine should result in infrastructure in line with European standards. The Minister outlined the importance of the constructive international dialogue that will contribute to the future development of traffic, economic relations and the implementation of infrastructure projects. Transport Week was opened by the VI Annual Seminar UNECE trade facilitation and the Single Window, devoted to trade facilitation and the development of transport corridors, organized with the assistance of the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the Interagency Working Group on Trade and logistics procedures (national authority for trade facilitation in Ukraine) and the Ukrainian government. International Transport Week is traditionally coincided with the International Freight Forwarder - annual forum of professionals in the field of transport, forwarding and logistics. The 14thconference this year was devoted to the training of professionals in the field of international freight forwarding, transport and logistics networks and supply chain management. Particular attention was paid to participants on the development of intelligent transport and logistics systems and training of qualified personnel for the management of this sector. The opening ceremony of the Exhibition was attended by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine - Trade Representative of Ukraine - Natalia Mykolskaya. Ms. Mykolskaya emphasized that this exhibition is necessary as it is one of the elements of the Transport Week in Odessa, where industry experts will meet government officials from around the world. With a welcoming speech to the participants of the largest Black Sea Transport Forum addressed Anatoly Urbanski, chairman of the Odessa Regional Council; Philip Burgela Verne, Ukraine Support Unit, European Commission; Eugene Goat, Project Coordinator, Permanent International Secretariat of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation; Sergey Petrovsky, head of the permanent commission of the Odessa Regional Council on transport, communications and maritime complex; Ilko Alexander, director of the Department of Transport, Communications and traffic management Odessa City Council; Yuri Kruk, President of the "UKRPORT" Association of Ukrainian ports; Georgiy Tokman, chief executive of the International Association of Ports of the Black and Azov seas (BASPA); Sergey Nediak, chairman of the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine; Alexey Rodionov, Director General of the Federation Employers of Transport of Ukraine. On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the "Inter-TRANSPORT" a commemorative stamp was released under the leadership of the Ukrainian state enterprise of postal communication "Ukrposhta". After the opening ceremony it was held a ceremony of the redemption of a postage stamp commemorative stamp. Long-term and reliable partner of the International Transport Week - known in the industry freight forwarding company JSC "PLASKE" held the XIV-th International Freight Forwarders Day under the auspices of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), with the support of the Association of forwarding, transport, logistics and services (CLECAT), the Organization for Cooperation of Railways (OSJD), the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Freight Forwarding Organizations of Ukraine "UKRZOVNISHTRANS." This event was dedicated to the prospects of intelligent transportation system development, issues of implementation, technologies and vocational training and became a platform for interesting and constructive discussion, giving an excellent opportunity for the conference participants to arrange new business contracts to share experience gained and jointly implement new projects.

This year 100 companies from 15 countries (Ukraine. Austria, Belgium, China, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, France, Estonia and Japan) took part in the Exhibition “InterTRANSPORT”. In the center of the exhibition an active work was carried out on the stand of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. For the first time in Ukraine was represented by the activities of the Lithuanian National Road Carriers Association LINAVA, uniting 930 carriers. Booth of LINAVA and exposition, visited the Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania Saulius Girdauskas. Traditionally, the work of 13 branches in the seaports of Ukraine, the branch of "Delta-pilot" Maritime Search and Rescue Service was provided centrally on the exposure of SE "Administration of Ukrainian sea ports."

At the “Inter-TRANSPORT” Exhibition exposition there were traditionally presented the leading ports of Ukraine who carried out active negotiations. Among them there were Ilyichevsk, Yuzhniy, Mariupol, Kherson, specialised sea port “Oktyabrsk”. The complex for transshipment of liquid food located at the deep water port of Dnepro-Bougsky NE “Terminal-Ukrpischesbytsyryo LLC” introduced its accomplishments to the visitors of the exhibition. One could get acquainted with the new achievements in the sphere of cargo handling equipment at the stands of companies: Konecranes Ukraine, Alekon Holding AS, Ameco S.A. (France), KRANUNION (Ardelt, Koks) (Germany), YUZHTEKHSERVICE, MHM–Ukraine (Official representative of NEUERO in CIS and a member of the Ukrainian Association of Secondary Metals), Enterprise of the current lead and electric (Ukraine),Trans Service KTT, Universal Service – Ukraine, Krankomplekt Plant, Yuzhmormontazh (Ukraine). LIEBHERRWERK NENZING GmbH (Austria) and «Trading House «Armada LTD» took part at the exhibition on the central place. On the open space of the exposition Forx (Ukraine), CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY (Ukraine) and Yuzhtekhservis (Ukraine) have shown the latest models of equipment in operation. Zeppelin Power Systems GmbH & Co. KG For has presented its activity in Odessa for the first time with a line of Caterpillar diesel engines for use in locomotives and in industrial engineering. Chinese company Shanghai JinXuan Container Seals Co., Ltd - a leading manufacturer of security seals - the first time in Ukraine presented its products at the exhibition. Corinth Canal S.A. (A.E.DI.K.) for the first time presented its many years of experience in navigating and operating activities of the Corinth Canal. Traditionally the exhibition industry experts could get acquainted with the representatives of the group of companies of the Austrian Holding «First-DDSG Logistics Holding GmbH», which has its own fleet of 250 vessels for the transportation of general, bulk, heavy, cubature of cargo and petroleum products. There was an opportunity to attend the stand of the leading Shipping Company – Ukrferry. Section shipbuilding was represented by DAMEN Shipyards Gorinchem, well-known Ukrainian ports as a reliable supplier of port auxiliary fleet.

Traditionally at the Exhibition there was represented the topic of “Marine Hydraulic Engineering” which is being actively developed under the support and active participation of the Register of Shipping of Ukraine and Odessa National Maritime University. At the exposition there were represented the following leading enterprises of the branch: Jan De Nul n.v. (Belgium), RembudTrest NMP (UKRAINE), Van Oord UKRAINE, Boskalis Ukraine, ChernomorNIIproekt, Dragflow S.r.l. (Italy), Uniprom and Tensar International Ltd (UK). Company «Tencate Geosynthetics» (Netherlands) (represented by Uniprom), has acquainted experts and hydraulic engineers with the unique technologies encapsulated soil use in hydraulic engineering. For the first time in Ukraine it was held a presentation of the Giken Ltd activity - the world-famous Japanese company that produces a unique construction equipment and uses it successfully. Giken created the first "Silent Piler" in the world, the company is constantly developing innovative techniques and technology to become a world leader in its field. LLC "Boryspil plant rubber goods" acquainted professionals with the products manufactured by the plant. SE "GOSGIDROGRAFIYA" presented at the exposition the materials on navigation and hydrographic support of navigation. "MriyaBudPolis" - the representative of the Swiss company Verope AG, manufacturer of steel ropes and special designs for port cranes. This year, the weight equipment was presented at a large scale exhibition. Leading weight equipment companies such as Mekhanotron, Weight company MIKA, Vesta MK held an active work among visitors and exhibitors. The most authoritative higher educational establishments and research institutes of Ukraine in the sphere of transport and shipping such as Southern Scientific Centre of the Transport Academy of Ukraine; State Research and Development Institute of the Merchant Marine of Ukraine, Odessa National Maritime University, Odessa National

Maritime Academy; Odessa state Academy on Building and Architecture; Maritime and Entrepreneurship Institute; Dnipropetrovsk National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan have made their contribution to the Exhibition work and Events Program. Logistics Infrastructure of Grain Market “Agro-LOGISTICS”. The constant participant of the exhibition "VariantAgroStroy" presented equipment for elevators, as well as modern solutions for engineering, design, production and installation of equipment for the facilities for the storage and processing of grain. At the stand of the State Enterprise "GRAIN CAPITAL" it was demonstrated a new and unique method for handling grain in ports. Company YugAngarStroy and YugMontazhStroy showed the benefits of the frameless construction. Trading House Ariva Pak clearly showed visitors large soft container reusable. For the first time in the exhibition "Dax Company" introduces visitors to the exhibition with its developments for the construction of silos "turnkey" and subsequent service facilities. While the Exhibition was working there were registered more than 1000 visitors – specialists from 20 countries (Austria, Azerbaidgan, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Georgia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, China, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldavia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Estonia). Among them there are 63 % of CEO and managers of the high level, 24% of technical specialists and 13% of researcher. Terms of realization of infrastructure projects and the rules of public-private partnerships transport employers have discussed with representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Odessa Regional State Administration, business, trade unions, experts and lawyers during the round table "Public-private partnership. The principles and features of partnership between the government, civil society and business in the transport sector ", organized by the Federation of Employers of Transport of Ukraine (FRTU). FRTU as a single all-Ukrainian Association of Employers in the automotive, marine, aviation and railway sectors, contributes to the creation of the transport industry business environment comfortable for employers, protects their rights and interests. The International Black and Azov Seas Ports Association Council (BASPA) held the Conference dedicated to the further expansion and development of public-private partnerships. The Conference was attended by representatives of the ports and port administrations of Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine, as well as representatives of other companies and organizations. BASPA elected President Director of State Enterprise "Illichivsk Sea Commercial Port" Sergei Kryzhanovsky, first vice president - general manager of NC "Maritime Administration of the port of Constanta» Valar Nicolae Ionescu. Traditionally the Association of Ports of Ukraine "UKRPORT" held the specialized committees “On Planning, Construction, Technical Maintenance of Hydro-technical, Coastal and Engineering Constructions”, in which the current state of technology and the hydraulic engineering in the seaports of Ukraine were discussed, problems of dredging, technologies and materials for piers reconstruction, innovative solutions for the port construction. Due to the variety of versatile business events the owners and CEOs of the leading enterprises actively worked at the Transport Week. International Transport Week finished with the event that was held under the patronage of the Odessa Regional State Administration by a conference on the theme: "Investment potential of Odessa region: transport, infrastructure, agro-logistics." During the event, two panel discussions on the topics were held: "The development of transport infrastructure as the engine of economic growth" and "Infrastructure investment projects in the Odessa region" Participated in the conference with presentations by representatives of the regional branch of "Odessa Railroad", PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" Port Authority "Southern" and the Odessa seaport, international "Odessa" Airport Service roads in the Odessa region and private companies. The conference was visited by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Moldova Oleg Tofilat. In addition, it was presented to the infrastructure investment project to build ferry complex "Orlovka". Odessa Regional State Administration presented the project of building the highway Odessa-Reni (Bucharest) in a new direction. The practical results of the activities of steel agreement with the State Enterprise "Administration of Ukrainian sea ports" on the establishment of a convenient tool for finding investment projects in ports, intensive development of dialogue with the Moldovan side on the appointment of an updated train Chisinau-Odessa-Chisinau, rehabilitation of the railway section Berezino-Basarabeasca and modernization of the road surface border areas of Ukraine and Moldova, as well as the inclusion of the project of the Odessa-Reni (Bucharest) in the list of the Ministry of Infrastructure of pilot projects that can be implemented on public-private partnerships and concessions. Odessa National Maritime University, Ukrainian Ports Association “UKRPORT” and Southern Scientific Centre of the Transport Academy of Ukraine held jointly with the VIIth International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Ports – Problems and their Solutions” the meeting of the Ukrainian Ports Association “UKRPORT” Committee “On Technology, Mechanization and Information Technology”. A big attention was paid to the problems of transport specialists’ training and skills development, issues of technical policy and technology work of ports and terminals, organizational and economic problems of development of port services market, legal support of business and port security. Odessa National Maritime University held Round table discussion: “The Future Specialist Formula: Business and Education in the Maritime Branch”. As a result of the discussions there were highlighted the main

areas of cooperation between educational and business structures in preparation of specialists for the marine industry: training and skills development, teaching staff specialized universities, business support and educational institutions at all possible levels, the establishment of joint projects for effective cooperation of the educational and business structures in the process of training, the outlook for the creation of clusters, technology parks and science and technology centers at universities. Odessa State Academy of Building and Architecture celebrated the 85th anniversary and successfully carried out the Scientific and Practical Conference "Hydraulic engineering, irrigation and drainage, transport construction in the South of Ukraine" also dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of Hydrotechnical and Transport building. The main topics were the following: hydraulic engineering, prospects of development, innovations and investments, design, building and reconstruction of automobile roads and airports, water constructions, etc. The interest of experts was called by the round table "Topical issues of automation of management and accounting for companies of maritime and rail transport, silos and grain terminals." Active discussions organized by the company "Soft Art" together with "KPD-UZ". The roundtable was attended by about 40 companies transport business and the AIC of Ukraine, Latvia, Romania, and Moldova. The State Enterprise "Scientific Research and Design Institute of Navy of Ukraine" (SE "UKRNIIMF") together with the "Informservis" LLC specialists gathered to discuss the important issues of energy efficiency in the conditions of port reform. The most active participation in the preparation and work and development of the Exhibition and Conference was from the side of the information partners: journal “Ports of Ukraine”, weekly publication “Transport”, magazine "Industrial Cargoes", The context of the Black Sea, "Distribution and Logistics", "Compass forwarder and carrier" "Transportweekly" railway magazine "Depot", "Lifting constructions. Special equipment», «JURA MOPE SEA», «Business and Security”, "Business Profile", "Ukrainian zaliznytsi", "UkrAvtoKontinent", "Perevіznik UA", "AsMAP Bulletin", magazine "Zalіznichne postachannya", "Logistics: problems and Solutions", "Seaman Ukraine" newspaper, the newspaper "PRESS EXCHANGE", publishing house "Business Ukraine", "Guide from A to Z», Baltic Transport Journal and other specialized and mass editions. Internet support was provided by: The Center of the Transport Strategy, an information portal "The transport business," Transport of Ukraine and the CIS, Ukraine Compass, TERRA -EXPO,, portal TOPBIZ, Universal Freight Organization LTD, AUTO.RIA.com, Ua.Trud.com. Lighting exhibition "Agro-LOGISTICS" actively carried out the newspaper "agrarian", publishing house "AGROPARTNER" magazine "AGROELITA" newspaper "PFM HUT Bhagat," weekly "Trade Village" Agricultural Newsletter. Support on the Internet provides: information portals KOLOSOK.INFO, Smart logistician, agriculture portal AgroNews, ALLBIZ portal site PROEKTANT designers. The transport intellectuals traditionally gathered in Odessa within the framework of the International Transport Week. The motto of the Forum “Inter-TRANSPORT” is “Dialogue. Trust. Action”. At the beginning of summer in Odessa there was a successful DIALOGUE. We hope that on the basis of such DIALOGUE the TRUST has been strengthened.
