good food aromas emanating from the kitchen. The menu features a full array of Thai and European dishes but with the emphasis very much on the fresh local seafood specialties. Prices are very reasonable too and Summer Wind offers a good selection of wine by the bottle and by the glass, as a well as beers and cocktails. The staff is friendly and energetic and all in all it is a great night out to dine in such pleasant and lively surroundings and at such reasonable prices. But that is not all!! Upstairs at Summer Wind is the live music venue, with the enticing balcony overlooking the walking street below being the ideal location for people-watching in this lively part of Patong. A huge stage houses the twelve piece Thai-Philippine band who from 10 pm each evening light up the night with their Latino, Reggae and Salsa-Jazz musical pyrotechnics. There’s also a chill out area with a large screen showing all the latest sport and music action. You can even have a late night meal upstairs listening to the band and there are a broad selection of pub-style nibbles and lite bites served at the many tables. All in all Summer Wind is indeed a breath of fresh air on the Patong scene and one that is sure to become another iconic entertainment venue in the not-too-distant future.
