LETTER FROM THE MAYOR Dearest guests, fellow citizens and workers in the commercial, tourist and welcome trades. It is the second no-stop year that the magazine “Chianciano Terme da vivere” is the agenda full of events conceived to delight and satisfy citizens and tourists tastes, which our town is going to welcome. Concerts, music exhibitions, cultural events,dance soirees which go back to cultural traditions and forth to food and wine culture, and then enjoy the features and beauties of our area: breath-taking panoramas;spa experiences, thanks to the gentle
health springs;tourist tracks to walk on foot or by bycicle, and guided tours with open bus; cultural and museum journeys. In 2019 Chianciano is honoured with the title of “European Town of Sport” and many high level events will take place, for different sport disciplines. A dense period of exciting and appealing events to live an unforgettable experience.

TASTING AT THE SPA During the week, in the afternoon, the best local producers of food and wine will be presenting their products. Come and taste our local avours. From Monday to Friday, the Social Cooperative La Ginestra is going to be keeping guests of the Spa Park entertained with recreational activities and games. Card tournaments, board games and revisitations of the most famous TV quizzes in a fun and carefree atmosphere will brighten up the afternoons of young and old alike.

Guests who have been coming to the Spa Centre for 25, 30 and 50 years will be presented with a Loyalty Award in the Sala Fellini of the Villaggio Termale at 5.00 p.m.

They play just acoustic instruments (brass instruments, woodwinds, percussion instruments). The repertoire includes balcan tradition pieces and original arrangements and pieces. Between zastava and his audience there are no barriers, stages, mikes, machinaries and any mediations. 11

Everything is done with eccentricity and fascinating arrangements expressing the words that the songwriter played in his songs to give them new life. During the live performance one can breathe the harmony that makes the exhibition worth to enjoy from the first to the last note and involve audience in a unique emotional musical journey.

These shows were first played by themselves with two guitars, then involving three more talented musicians, who were especially friends, such as Alessandro Cristofori, playing piano, Luca Ravagni, playing sax and keyboard instruments, who became a celebrity after having played with Giorgio Gaber for 10 years, and last the true driving force, the fabulous Gianni Cerone playing drums.

PISCINE THEIA - THEIA POOLS Four outdoor and three indoor pools connected together to offer over 500 square metres of pool space, fed by the water of the Sillene spring, the properties of which have been known since the days of the Etruscans and Ancient Romans.
