The Sims 4 may have been labeled as another failure by EA but do not judge it yet without even playing it. For all you know, you will be surprised. I, for one, was amazed of how smooth and fast this game runs in my PC. At first, I had my doubts that maybe this was just my PC, after all, I have an SSD in a very fast processor. But no, at the time, before I upgraded Jane’s computer, she had an old Intel i5 760 with a GTX 610 and it loaded just as fast. Now, I'm focusing on this because this was the biggest problem I have with the Sims 3 and the
quick load times were selling point for me. Maybe it will be for you too.
Let's move on to the core of the game --graphics and gameplay. Gameplay has not changed much with the exception of one major thing --- emotions and whims. It is basically are what they sound like. Your Sims is happy; they want to do happy things. If they are embarrassed, they want to hide from the world and if they're mortified, then they will literally die an embarrassment. Yes! You heard me right. If you're Sims pisses themselves or makes a complete ass of themselves, they may just fall over dead. The emotions need a bit of work but on the other side your Sims is feeling focus story inspired. Some things they can do will help their skills or unlock special options like
painting our writing special projects. These later on will help by invoking the said emotions; just by having your Sims read those books or being around those paintings. It's a simplistic system. If a chunk of feelings outweigh the other set, your Sims will feel that emotion; one minute happy, the next minute sad, the next uncomfortable. It is almost on the brink some of insanity which ironically enough is a trait within the game itself. ( sims 4 full download for free )
Same with the Sims 3 aspirations rates return. Making your Sims reach their goal is more complex requiring several tasks to be complete before their desires were filled. Traits are similar to skills just like in Sims 3. Along with
your Sims ambitions and traits, the Sims itself gone are the sliders and the adjustments and instead the game offers a grab and drag system. This offers some interesting changes and allows a more customizable Sims. Being able to make an abomination or movie star are just a few clicks away.
