Big Al's Bbq Restaurant Elk Grove Review The First Annual Illinois Central Music Festival will take place Saturday August 20th, 2011. Music will run from 12:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. Suggested donation is $10.00. It will be located on May Street between Madison and Washington in Chicago. The main music stage will be by Madison.

Children's entertainment will be at the opposite end near Washington. There will be tickets sold for food, beer, wine and games.

With a late Thursday arrival pulled pork dominos two full days of wine touring ahead of us, we headed straight for our lodging after arriving in Carbondale. Our choice, which we highly recommend, is the Giant City Lodge, 12 miles from the Amtrak station.

Their hamburgers taste like they were made on the grill at home. They come with fresh toppings like lettuce and tomato. You can even try a chili cheese burger. If you're not in the mood for hamburgers you can try fried chicken or their delicious slow cooker bbq bbq pulled pork catering. They even have hot dogs that are also pretty good. If you still have room after your meal Rush's has delicious soft serve ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and apple turnovers. This is definitely not your typical fast food fare.

Our favorite Inheritance Valley wine was Two Worlds. This off dry red wine is a blend of two grapes that do very well here, Cabernet Franc and Norton. Another very enjoyable choice was Roadside Red, a little sweeter and softer on the palate.

Bespoke Bacon, the folks who provide Prism Brewery with the bacon for their Insana Stout and their bacon jam, will be at the brewery from 7-9pm cooking up bacon, and some bacon infused slow cooker bbq pulled pork pork.

A touristy destination where salsa bands play and boys dance on the bar. They have a main dance floor with other rooms such as the Mojito Room, Vodou Room, and The Jungle Room. Great place to take pictures with your friends and dance the night away.

As far as desert goes, if you possibly have room after such a stuff-fest, think pie a la mode, preferably apple with vanilla ice cream. But sweet potato or pecan pies are bbq pulled pork delicious as is a good old peach cobbler.

The featured artists appearing at this event will be blues legends Sugar Blue, Billy Branch, Larry McCray, Lil Ray Neal (Kenny's brother and son of Raful Neal), Big James Montgomery and the Chicago Playboys, Des Plaines River Band and more.

When ready to eat, wrap hamburger buns in paper towels and warm in the microwave for 20-25 seconds. Place pork on the buns and top with grilled onions and some coleslaw. Add extra BBQ sauce as desired. Serve along with a helping of baked beans, potato salad, and crisp sliced dill pickles.
