THE LION'S DEN SEASAC Golf 2023
We are pleased to share that the Tanglin Golf team made an exciting comeback at the recent SEASAC Golf competition in Bangkok. Tanglin took a young team and competed well amidst a strong field from schools across South East Asia. The team posted competitive scores over the two days, and special mention to Aden P in Year 6 who was competing against players seven years his senior, showing great future potential. Congratulations to all the players involved. The Tanglin Golf team will be entering the ACSIS tournament on Monday 19th February 2024, so if you would like your child to be involved, please look out for the sign ups in January. @tanglinlions

THE LION'S DEN FOBISIA Rugby 2023 The FOBISIA rugby tournament at TTS was a highly successful weekend, featuring dominant performances by the U16 squad in rugby 10s. The squad's development was evident in an all-TTS final, showcasing strong performances by all members. Additionally, the FOBISIA high-performance weekend saw rugby 7s players from across Asia competing at Tanglin Trust School for a spot in the FOBISIA U18 Performance Squad. Three Tanglin U18 players – Edward, JP, and Kayden – secured spots in the final squad, which comprised players from 9 different schools.

THE LION'S DEN Feeding Frenzy The TTS Merlions recently participated in the Feeding Frenzy competition at Bangkok Patana School with 40 members. Despite a delay due to haze, the team secured 14 medals in the 2.5day event. Notable achievements include the Boys 9-10 team and Girls 15&O team both earning 3rd place overall. Relay teams also excelled, with the Girls 11-12 4x50m Freestyle and Girls 15&O 4x50m Medley Relay winning bronze, and Girls 15&O 4x50m Freestyle earning silver. Individual standouts include Amanda with six medals, including gold in the 15&O 200m Breast and 200m Fly events, Mia with gold in the 13-14 years 400m Free and bronze in the 200m IM, Benoit with silver in the 10yo Boys 50m Free, Forrest with bronze in the 10yo Boys 50m Back, and Eric with bronze in the 13-14 400m IM. Overall, it was a successful team-building trip for the Merlions.

THE LION'S DEN Schools Netball Super League 2023 As our new Schools Netball Super League draws to a close we would like to say a big thank you to all schools and clubs that have participated. The aim was to raise the standard of netball competition and this league did not disappoint, with some tightly contested games and every team making a positive contribution. Our Tanglin Lions came 3rd position in a fiercely tight league. We hope to see this league grow even bigger next year! Congratulations to our Tanglin Lions!
