Opening doors and opportunities

In a city where doing business relies on personal connections, sometimes even the oldest organizations have opportunities that aren’t obvious.

Chamber mixers are a great way to learn more about our community, and valuable services that we might not be aware of.

Last year, a Chamber mixer led to a better understanding of opportunities at the prestigious Victoria Golf Club. The oldest golf course in Canada — is more than just a spectacular course. It also includes great spaces for events and quiet areas ideal for business meetings.

“If I had not come to the mixer at Victoria Golf Club, I would have never known what they offered,” Mary Lou Newbold, co-owner of Mayfair Optometric Clinic, said.

In turn, Jessica Cruise, Director of Membership Sales at Victoria Golf Club, learned about member to member benefits available to all of her employees.

“The multiple resources The Chamber provides can be valuable to any business,” Cruise says. “We’re showcasing what we offer, and its great to learn about new opportunities, and discounts that other members provide.”
